The NES and GBA games sneak onto the eShop to join the current 30% off sale.
Pac-Land and PAC-MAN collection snuck onto the Wii U Virtual Console in North America yesterday, and are available for a "special introductory price." Even though they weren't officially named in the current 30% eShop sale, the game's appear to be similarly discounted until June 16.
Pac-Land, originally on the NES, is available in the US for $3.49, suggesting a regular price of $4.99. PAC-MAN Collection was a GBA title, and is available for $4.89, suggesting a non-discounted price of $5.99.
The surprise release of the two titles (most Wii U digital releases are made available on Thursdays, not Tuesdays) was likely timed to coincide with the reveal that Bandai Namco's iconic PAC-MAN will be playable in Nintendo's Smash Bros. games for the Wii U and 3DS.
i want updated pacman vs for wii u damn it! Include championship editions too and i'll easily give them my money
Is Ms. Pac-Man in that collection? No. The other thing -- on GBA collection you either palying in squashed mode, or have to deal with scrolling because of GBA's low resolution.
I always wanted to try Pac-In-Time (puns!), but that cartridge was extremely difficult to find. This is coming from someone who has Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and EarthBound on SNES. I originally mistook it for Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures which was awful.Hey now, Pac-Man 2 I will grant was not that good of a game but, it did have its amusing moments.
