New Game Boy Player for Nintendo GameCube Plays Game Boy Games on Television
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 2003--Today, Nintendo's portable Game Boy®, the most successful video game system in history, makes its homecoming on the television screen with Nintendo of America Inc.'s introduction of the Nintendo GameCube(TM) Game Boy® Player.
The accessory makes it possible to play more than 1,300 Game Boy games on your TV through the Nintendo GameCube(TM) console.
For a limited time, consumers can receive a free Game Boy Player when they purchase a Nintendo GameCube system (MSRP $149.99). Game Boy Player is available for an MSRP of $49.99 when sold separately. The Game Boy Player connects to the bottom of the Nintendo GameCube, matching the footprint of the system, and allows players to use either the console controller or Game Boy® Advance to direct on-screen action. Game Boy Player start-up disc, required for use, is included.
