On May 2, Mario Golf: World Tour will be released for the 3DS. We had the opportunity to play the game at a recent Nintendo event. Afterwards, we stopped at a cafe and video recorded our thoughts of the upcoming title. Check out our video preview along with a off-screen gameplay clip below.

Looks pretty fun. I've never played any Mario Golf, is the one for GB Color on VC worth getting?

Mario Golf on GBC is awesome. The controls are great and the RPG mode is a lot of fun. I have very fond memories of the game and would think it's still worthy of purchase.

This is without a doubt my most wanted 3DS game as of now. Can't stand playing the real thing in the real world, so virtual golf, especially one with a lot of personality, is always my way of enjoying the sport!

I can't believe this is the first Mario Golf sequel since Mario Golf: Advance Tour. Might be why I'm really hyped up for this game also. Personally, I liked how they added some more Mario type elements in Toadstool Tour with pipes and chomps. The underwater golf courses look like a step more in that direction which I would have thought we'd see more of by this point.

I am curious as to what the rest of the year holds for the 3DS because by the time this and Kirby come out, the only game I'm aware of is Smash Bros. so I do wonder how the back half of the year is going to look after such a solid start again.
