The Wii U Premium bundle in Japan has halted production, in its place will be a Wii Sports Club bundle available March 27.

According to images from Nintendo Japan, the new bundle will cost ¥30,000 (roughly $300) and will come with the console, GamePad, 32 gigs of storage as well as the Wii Sports Club versions of bowling, tennis and golf, along with a Wii sensor and a Wii Remote with wrist strap. It appears production has stopped on the 32 GB white Premium bundle, which included no games.

There is currently no word if a similar bundle will be released outside of Japan.

No Baseball? Why is that taking so long to finish I wonder. I'm sure it isn't due to troubles with HD development.

To the vast majority of people, the Wii U's been bundled with Wii Sports for 8 years now...

LOL. Exactly. I doubt this new bundle will sway any new sales. Especially from those not looking to buy that expensive add on touch screen controller for their Wii.

But to them, this 'value bundle' gives them a coveted second disc drive so they can keep Wii Sports AND Carnival Games in the system at the same time. *Digital gaming for the casuals!!!*

Not in Japan which is the big difference here.

No, in Japan people were just gullible enough to pay full price on top of the price of a console for a 30 minute demo.

Some should edit in "in japan" into the title and save everyone pointless logorhea from usual suspects.

Nice move by Nintendo, this does add value to the system in Japan and should help it out
