Nintendo struggling in the gaming market might not be the best news for Sony and Microsoft.

Playstation UK’s Managing Director, Fergal Gara, recently spoke about how Nintendo’s performance in the market could affect the industry.
"[The decline of Nintendo] could be detrimental to the market, unless people like us raise our game and help tap into the younger consumer group that they serve rather well", Gara said.
Along with noting the importance of reaching young consumers, Gara also stated his faith in the potential of the casual game market.
“We need to bring maybe more family-friendly, more casual experiences into the market. I think there's a big market segment there that we should take the challenge to engage and I see lots of potential to do that”, Gara said.
In contrast, Gara pointed Nintendo’s continued strength in the market, the DS family.
“Despite the stellar sales of the PS4 for the last four or five weeks, [The Nintendo 3DS] was still the best selling console or console family," Gara said.
Considering the Question of "Which Consoles do you Own." and "What was your first Console" are pretty common survey question Sony probably knows what its talking about.
It's like Iwata has said, Apple is the biggest competition to gaming because they worry all those cheap games will devalue tradition gaming. If too many children grow up playing nothing but 99 cent games on their tablets and smartphones, what's going to make them care about suddenly spending $60 for a traditional gaming experience later in life?
Are you completely braindead? That isn't up to Nintendo. Mojang has been pretty adamant in the past that they don't want Minecraft of the Wii U/3DS. Even though Notch has said he would love that, he isn't a part of Mojang.
...and that rumor was debunked. That dude above and I were discussing just that.

Wrong. It's not that Nintendo hasn't approached them, it's that they have too much to do already.
Last I checked Mojang was the one that had a full plate, Nintendo was the one starved for content. It's not gonna hurt for Nintendo to have a developer outreach program and spark some interest from 3rd parties to support their starving platform by actually reaching out to them and let them know that they are interested in the games that said developer is making and would love to see them on Nintendo hardware. "How may we assist you in becoming a licensed developer?"
Sure Mojang has **** to do right now and they are busy, but if Nintendo had directly reached out and said "Hey, we want Minecraft, and we want it now", I'm sure Minecraft on Wii U would all of a sudden become a priority.
You say it's not Nintendo's job to reach out to 3rd parties to get support.... well, that explains the situation we are in right now, because 3rd parties complain that Nintendo doesn't communicate with them, and they'd rather not be left hanging.
I personally don't care for Minecraft, but if all it took to get it was Nintendo to call them and insist they bring it over, then Nintendo should do just that. If Nintendo doesn't have a Developer Outreach Program, then maybe they should open a new department in each region and get on it.
If door to door is what it takes, then they better put on their walking shoes and get out there.
Profits are in the red, sales are in the shitter, and mindshare is shrinking everyday.
