For a very limited time in the USA!

American Nintendo 3DS owners who missed out on the earlier release of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition have another chance to download the title.

For a strictly limited time, the game is now available for free as a download from the eShop. The rerun comes as part of a promotion to advertise the Wii U Virtual Console release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Those interested in downloading the title should hurry as the promotion ends at 11:59pm PST on February 2. As of the time of writing, the game has not been made available in the European or Japanese eShops.

Awesome news! This is a cool game, and while it can be played solo the real fun only starts when you've got at least one friend joining in. Giving the game away previously was a nice gesture, but not keeping it available on the eShop restricted how easy it was to find others to game with. When more people get to download the game, everyone wins.

I have to remember to remind my brother to download this. I played the game solo as well, but if Four Sword Adventures is anything to go by, Anniversary is likely much more fun multiplayer.

Glad they re-offered it, but I still don't understand why they don't just let you download it for money year-round... silly Nintendo.

I didn't have a 3DS when this first was available so I gotta grab it now and tell my brother the same thing so I have someone to play with.

I wish I had another 3DS. But this gives me hope they will continue to make it available periodically. Some day I may own 4 3DSes so I can easily play with friends and family.

I'm not really sure why this is limited. Or free. I'd pay money for an online-enabled version...

Damn! I've been swamped at work for the last 4 days and I missed this completely. Why doesn't nintendo just make this available to buy?!??!?! Why must we catch something in some arbitrary window?

I will PAY for this content. At last check nintendo was in need of sales, so let me buy something from you.

Also, make the ambassador games available! I have an XL and want to play Metroid and GBA Zelda. Again, I'm willing to buy these games.
smh

Agreed. Between work and school i forgot all about this. Guess I'll have to wait for next year? I'm willing to buy it on four different systems for the ability to play multiplayer.

Good thing I have it on my main system already.
