Post by: Steel Diver on December 18, 2013, 09:30:15 AM

The Year of Luigi continues on with a new eShop game.

Dr. Luigi, a new downloadable title from Nintendo, is coming to the Wii U eShop. Acting as a new entry in the popular Dr. Mario puzzle series, Dr. Luigi will have many challenges to complete as well as online multiplayer.

The game uses L shaped capsules and is being made easier for newcomers, though the challenge level can be changed for more experienced players. The game will also be playable using just the Wii U GamePad.

The title launches on January 15 in Europe, and December 31 in North America.

Dr. Mario interest me only from a musical standpoint. Mainly remixes to two classic tunes (new ones are rubbish).

As the one person on the planet who liked Tetris 2, I think this provides an adequate substitute.

Dr. Luigi looks so weird with a hat on. Dr. Mario doesn't have a hat, how did they overlook something so obvious?!

I just realized that Dr. Lugi reminds me greatly of Dr. Nick from the Simpsons.

Would have much preferred a "Dr. Luigi, DDS" game, to further solidify the "second fiddle brother"  storyline.

Mama Mario (with New York Italian dialect): "Oh, you aced your dental exams, Lu? That's pretty good, I guess. I mean your brother Mario's a real doctor, but dentistry is respectable too..."
