Title: Julian Eggebrecht Interview
Post by: Grey Ninja on June 13, 2003, 11:14:52 PM
I am once again, seriously impressed with PGC.  PGC always seems to have the scoop on even the pay sites like IGN, and the latest interview with Julian Eggebrecht is no exception.

I will tell you right now why you should own the game:

Rebel Strike is the first opportunity for Star Wars fans to see many favorite scenes from the original trilogy in a digital video format

'nuff said.  30 minutes of footage from the Original Star Wars Trilogy in DVD quality is well worth the money it will cost you to buy the game.  Anything on top of that is simply bonus material.  And the bonus material is pretty much guaranteed to be the best Star Wars game ever made.

I am very happy with this interview, and Factor 5 continues to impress.

Thank you PGC!

as much as i am excited i still want to know how much depth is going into the multiplayer mode, and why there isnt going to be a lan feature.

I wouldnt care how much longer it would take to add on a lan feature it would be awesome!
Just think about 4 friends teamed up as rebel x wings and another 4 friends teamed up as imperial tie fighters omg!

I hope the multiplayer has a lot of modes and depth to it.

oh and big thumbs up to PGC for the interview!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another great interview by PGC *claps*

Im really interested in the multiplayer aspects, especially co-op. This sounds like another AAA game on my wishlist, i cant wait to see how awesome the graphics are. Factor 5 are technical geniouses, and some of the effects that guy was talking about sound incredible. Wow, this is looking very impressive, hopefully they tone down the difficulty a little bit, i still havent got past the fifth level in Rogue Leader

How on earth are they going to fit all this on one disk?

Most of the effects are quite subtle, but when combined it has a lot of impact. That is why I like it. It is the polish. Good old spit shine.

A great interview, indeed.  And I'm not even a Star Wars fan.

Rouge Leader wasn't that hard man. But trying to complete a mission with the Falcon or the Slave one is hard along with the tie. I am hoping not too easy.

Another thing I am hoping is none of that tie fighter turning on a pin styles A.I. that was unfair.

Heh.  I thought Rogue Leader was quite fun, although insanely difficult.  I did get golds on every level in Rogue Squadron, but the best I could get in Rogue Leader was Silver on every level.

I cant wait for this game... love Rogue 2.  Only downside i see is my dad is obsessive about this series...the guy got all golds except endurence(though i helped on some levels).

I agree.  Rogue Leader wasn't that hard, but it was difficult enough to keep me coming back for more.  Even though it was the first game I bought for the Cube, I still play it too this day, especially the "Battle of Endor" level.  No other level in any other movie tie-in game has been as true to the movie, or made me feel like I was part of it.  A brilliant level.

If they really want to send this release over the top, they could do what they did with Zelda, and release a remastered version of the original Rogue Squadron for people who preorder the game.  Heck, they could even put "Battle for Naboo" on the disc!
