Anyone have any figures... just curious. Didn't hear too much about it when it came out.

Deminisma:  I'm pretty sure it has sold somewhere between 50,000 and 60,000 copies in the U.S.  I would be surprised if it were much more than 60,000.  Not great sales, but definitely not terrible sales either.  Just decidedly mediocre.

In Japan, SoAL bombed.  Didn't even make it onto the Top 50 chart in any week.  This doesn't necessarily seem to indicate anything about Skies, since seemingly every Japanese RPG for the GCN bombs in the home country.  August is going to be the telling month for Japanese RPGs on the Gamecube though.  Both Square-Enix's Final Fantasy:  Crystal Chronicles and Namco's Tales of Symphonia come out that month.  Both companies expect big things out of their titles.  On one hand, GCN RPGs don't sell in Japan.  On the other hand, one Square-Enix official has been quoted saying that they expect FF:CC to sell one million copies in Japan.  Something has to give.  But if FF:CC and ToS don't do well, I see a bleak outlook for future RPGs on the Gamecube.

There's at least 1 less copy sold in Canada, as they never even bothered to give anyone in Lethbridge the chance to buy it... (bastards)

FF:CC has a chance, with the GBA being big in Japan and the title itself being part of probably the most popular series in Japan as of now.

Ninja-X, the award for most popular game in Japan is still Dragon Quest.  Final Fantasy has yet to outsell a Dragon Quest game in Japan.  Hell, they have laws in Japan that keep Dragon Quest games from coming out on weekdays because society grinds to a halt on those days.
