Activision's Second-Half 2013 Wii U Slate Includes: Call of Duty: Ghosts - Featuring an all-new world, story, characters and experiences, all powered by a new engine, Call of Duty: Ghosts is a stunning leap forward for the blockbuster franchise. For the first time in Call of Duty, gamers play as the underdog, fighting as part of a single squad against an enemy that has superior numbers and firepower. Call of Duty: Ghosts' genre-defining multiplayer delivers gameplay innovations throughout, including dynamic map events, character customization and other features yet-to-be-announced. The title includes Wii Remote and second-screen Wii U(TM) GamePad support and more. Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled for release on November 5, on Wii U and is not yet rated by the ESRB.
If you look at the Wii U eshop, you will notice all of Activision's games are retail only. I speculate that Activision doesn't like the percentages Nintendo offers on their digital store. Was this why COD The-Ghost-and-Mr.-Chicken was announced late? Was a deal worked out between Nintendo and Activision?
Last year Cod-Blops 2 Wii U did not get any DLC. What about this year? Well, Gamestop has the Preorder bonus downloadable map listed on the Wii U versions page, so MAYBE. Or maybe Gamestop will edit the page tomorrow... http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/games/call-of-duty-ghosts/110936#bonusFeatures

If I'm truly playing this game as the "Underdog", I fully expect to pop some pills every once in a while so I can fly and punch people into the upper stratosphere. :P: Somehow I think I just imagined a much more interesting game than Call of Benji will likely be. ;)

Well, Gamestop is saying the WiiU version of CoD: Down the Well comes with has the launch DLC the other versions have (http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/games/call-of-duty-ghosts/110936).

The theory is that Activision did not offer anything for download for Wii U, but they are doing at least this now. Have the floodgates been opened?

I'm glad to see it officially announced. I need another shooter on my Wii U with awesome Wii remote controls. I hope Ghosts gets the DLC map packs and such, but I'll enjoy it either way.

I previously purchased a physical copy of COD Black Ops 2 as they failed to offer a digital version on the eShop. Since then I have gone completely digital. I would have immediately purchased Ghost, but sadly it's not available on the eShop.
I don't understand what Activision has against releasing the software they publish on the eShop. There will definitely be some missed Wii U sales due to this.

Apparently, this is one of the lowest-scoring Call of Duty titles ever. Are reviewers and players finally getting tired of this series, or is the game actually worse? Or are they saving the better scores for the PS4/XBONE versions?

Even I had to admit earlier in the year that Battlefield 4 seemed to be a better game than Ghosts. Although I am a die hard fan of Call of Duty, the series needs a major overhaul to stay on top. The next installment needs vehicules like the recent Battlefield games. Although reviewers could be holding out for the newer versions of the games. Tha German Shepard dog needs his own game. :)

I just assume it is part of the fucked up scoring system from the US where 50% isn't the fail point where below you get a D/E/F depending on your level of suckatude.

Its a combination of both. The series has been going on forever and has starting to get a tad bit stale. It doesn't help that this is the off year when the B team is making the game. People assumed the game would be so much more with a big leap to go alonside the next gen version of the game, when this is console game through and through. (The PC version is **** as well). People tend to forget that it took two years for the first Modern Warefare and we have to wait at least next year for a true jump.
As far as the game being worse guy the Giantbomb quicklook had problems with alot of the changes to the gameplay and game modes compared to Black Ops II. Also the aliens mode isn't as fleshed out as the zombies mode was from last year. The story tales a ton of ques from MW2 and takes away the choices and **** from last year as well.
Battlefield however is a pretty good game this year and the next gen versions actually have a bump of being on par with how the PC version being all this year.
But truthfully I think its the fact that both Battlefield and Call of Duty's clout will go down immensely next year when Titanfall and Destiny enter the playing field. It seems the market can really only sustain two third party shooters alongside a first party one. (Halo Killzone_)
But CHosts made a billion in 24 hours so what do I know.
