Fingers crossed for Pokémon X Monster Hunter!

Game Freak, developer of the Pokémon games, has teased a new collaboration on their website.

The website shows the silhouette of a creature and the words "coming soon." The words surrounding the silhouette, when put together, roughly translate to: “That popular game that is played around the world, will be reborn in a surprising collaboration!”

Now, Pokemon x Panel de Pon again... that's a pairing I can get behind. Not sure what the pony refers to though, and I'm not sure I want to know.

If anything could sell Wii Us it's a fully realized pokemon adventure with online stadium battles and tournaments; 3DS support for on the go battling.

a version of battle revolution for Wii U with its own independent story arc and stuff would be great.

I imagine we'll get some kind of Stadium style Wii U game next year.  Nintendo is expecting X/Y to be a huge hit this Fall on the 3DS, so it'd only make sense to have a Wii U game of some kind to help boast that systems sales as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if the collaboration is a Wii U game related to X/Y that will be revealed at Nintendo's Fall conference with a Spring or Summer 2014 released planned to try and capitalize on X/Y success as soon as possible.

"Tease" a new game is a good way to put this.  Making the slightest stink about this is very much "teasing" in the way I first learned it as a kid - fucking with someone for kicks.

It's probably from the same 20% time that led to HarmoKnight, and if it comes west it'll be a fiver. I'm intrigued, at the very least.
