A new limited-edition collector's set of Zelda guide books has appeared on Amazon.com's digital store shelves for pre-order. The set, published by Prima Games, compiles each of the hardcover guides released for every game in the Zelda series over the last few years. The games are as follows:

Ocarina of Time 3D
Phantom Hourglass
Spirit Tracks
The Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
Skyward Sword

In addition to being presented in a beautiful hardcover format (a first for the Ocarina 3D guide), the six books will come with gilded edges much like the limited version of Hyrule Historia, and slot into a decorative treasure chest box with a magnetic clasp.

The set also promises a metallic bookmark to use with the guides and a certificate of authenticity signed by series director Eiji Aonuma. Worthy of note, the Skyward Sword guide has also been revised and expanded by over 100 pages since its individual release a few years ago.

This collection is strictly being limited to one printing and pre-ordering is a necessity for those who want to scoop it up before it's gone forever. Head on over to the store page for more details.

Hmm, kind of an odd selection of games, no? I wonder why Majora's Mask isn't on there if the rest of the 3D games are.

I've been eying this the past few days.

I have the four released books already, but knowing that I'll get the hardcover Wind Waker when it comes out at $40 and that I'd buy the OoT3D guide for $40 makes it a little easier to bite.

I've reached out to Prima for details on two things.

First, they've already stated that the cool extras that came with the original releases will not be included in these reprints - which is sad.  The cloth maps were pretty awesome.  With that said, the upcoming release of the Wind Waker guide - will the stand-alone version of this guide come with bonus stuff that will not come with the full set?  Because that would suck

Second, and as I told Prima in my message to them, it's a nit pick, but... The Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass guides are the same depth, while Spirit Tracks is a little smaller and Skyward Sword is a lot smaller.  Meaning, if they're all lined up on a shelf, pushed back, they don't really flow together on the shelf.  Since this is being marketed as a "set" or "collection", I'd like to see if these reprints will have that adjusted.  Since I've already spent ~$130 on these books and they're asking me to spend ~$150 more, I'd say it's the least they could do. :D

The guide's for Ocarina 3D.

Any word on whether they will release the Ocarina guide on its own? I was so irritated when they didn't do a hardcover for that when it came out. I have the rest already and the price is a bit much for me to double dip.

They have specifically said that the OoT3D Hardcover is exclusive to this set.

I would have loved to have these when I was younger.  Now I have too many games to even want to attempt at 100% any of them.  I have Hyrule Historia, but I'll probably pass on these.
