This has to be the most awesome video I have ever laid eyes on:

I concur. That is indeed a pretty awesome remake of that intro. It's a pity that Square-Enix shuts down any fan attempt to remake CT, though. We had a really cool-looking 3D remake a few years back that was looking promising until S-E shut them down.  There are times I wish S-E would just remake CT and get it over with, and then I remember that the game was perfect to begin with and S-E could only **** it up like they did with the DS port's 2 bonus dungeons.

Honestly, I have grown to dislike most of S-E's games in the past five to eight years and consider Chrono Trigger to be a product of a golden era. There is no way they could remake this game with the same quality as the original game. Besides, it would not be on a Nintendo console any way.

Well the original game had a like the best Square employees all working together to make the perfect JRPG...and in my opinion that was the defining and best RPG I ever played.  I can't stand traditional grind fest JRPGs...but this game worked.  The story, the leveling up, the combat system.  It was flawless and wonderful...and I am happy to have beaten the game several times.  (Thank you new game +)

Wow they did a good job. I mistook it for actual game footage a couple times.
