Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs has been in development since 2009, according to an interview on Turkish gaming site Merlin'In Kazani.
When asked about the similarities between Watch_Dogs and the TV show Person of Interest, Dominic Guay, senior producer of the game, revealed that development had started in 2009. He said "Actually we were many years into development when we heard of that show for the first time. Making a new IP like WATCH_DOGS is a long process and we started to craft our vision in early 2009."
Watch_Dogs releases on the Wii U November 19 in North America, the 22 in Europe, and 21 is Australia. It follows the exploits of vigilante Aiden Pearce in Chicago.
