Nabbit is playable. That's something?

New Super Luigi U will release on the Wii U eShop in North America and Europe on June 20, and June 19 in Japan. It will sell for $19.99 and 2,100 yen respectively. A physical version of the game will also be released across all regions starting in Japan on July 13 for 3,885 yen, July 26 in Europe, and August 25 in North America for $29.99.
The game also features Nabbit as a playable character. Nabbit, who was one of the antagonists of New Super Mario Bros. U, will play similarly to Luigi but cannot use power-ups, nor will he take damage from enemies.
I wonder if the retail version is to give the illusion of the Wii U having more games on the shelf. The store shelf is a minor marketing tool. If people are walking through the store and they see a barren Wii U shelf they figure the system has nothing going for it. This just puts some extra item on the shelf so the Wii U looks like it has a few more games. Its for the Luddites and kids.
By the way, did they mention whether or not you need NSMBU if you buy the retail version?

I'll probably wait for the retail version to drop in price.
So, in 2-3 years then?Make it 7 or 9 years.
$30 for New Super Mario Bros. U and the Expansion pack New Super LuigiBros.U is a good deal. $20/30 for just a dlc pack that's barely above a ROM hack isn't.
