Title: Disney's Planes Coming Exclusively to Wii U, Wii, 3DS and DS

Disney will release games based on their upcoming animated film Planes exclusively for the Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and DS.

Scheduled to release on August 6, the titles allow players to experience a "flying adventure" as they take control of one of the film's characters. There is currently no confirmation on the developer of these games.

A spin-off of Pixar's Cars franchise, Planes will hit theatres on August 9.

This announcement creates a trio of Disney titles hitting Nintendo systems this Summer, joining Duck Tales Remastered and Disney Infinity.

That in its own way is odd.  3DS ok.  Wii even.  Wii U is it just the Wii game?

A game for a straight to DVD spinoff of a movie series that exists for merchandising? I'm sure that DS version will be great.

I'm fairly sure Planes is going to the theater.

Though how can you be an Airplane and be afraid of heights.  Thats like being a Sea Turtle and being afraid of water.

I can say with all honesty that I am looking forward to this Planes game just as much as I am anticipating the movie.  :P:

Um, it's a spin-off made by the same company (well, same distributor since Pixar isn't making it). and set in the same universe. It would be like saying Frasier was a rip-off of Cheers. It's not a rip-off.

Please don't compare Cheers to Cars. That upsets me greatly.

I know Cars gets a lot of hate for some reason, but it's a good Pixar movie (I haven't seen Cars 2).

Cars 2 was better than the orignal.
(just saying this is werid that were talking about Cars universe how old are we again?)
