Capcom Community Manager Brett Elston addressed rumors of a new Mega Man game this past weekend, stating that, although no new game has been confirmed, discussions are happening.
Elston took to Twitter to directly respond to rumours emerging from PAX East on March 22. He said:
“To clarify – didn’t confirm a new Mega Man game. Mentioned the discussions are still going, but will not announce anything until it’s ready.”
These are encouraging signs for the future of the franchise, which came into question following a number of game cancellations over the last few years, including the scrapped 3DS project Mega Man Legends 3.
Maybe this isn't something anyone else wants, but I don't see why they don't continue with the digital releases similar to Megaman 9 & 10.I honestly don't mind more Classic Mega Man games being made or even some slight spin-off type games, as long as we stay away from the iOS/Android and Pay2Win model that the last game(s) were for them.
You mean like the Wii U is also based on a pc architecture(power pc) or how miiverse basically is a social platform?Maybe this isn't something anyone else wants, but I don't see why they don't continue with the digital releases similar to Megaman 9 & 10.They're the company that keeps good things coming and continues to focus on making consoles for playing games, not for social media or over priced watered down PCs.
why not make a retro style Mega Man X9 based on the old SNES MMX games?
