I wonder what sort of creative work I could make for a grand. A movie would be pretty hard on such a low budget. I already have most of the equipment for recording music so that might work to just improve some of the equipment or hire someone to do some mixing for me. Could I write a book or make a small indy game for that amount? I don't know. Of course none of those things would be certain to make $2000. In theory that is not much money but I have no real method of promotion for such things. Because of the internet, distribution can be a DYI project but getting enough people interested to buy that product is still a challenge. My brother spend a couple grand on a movie that he has released on DVD. I don't even think 10 people have bought it. No one knows, no one cares because he has no easy way to market it.
Could I buy $1000 in PC parts, built some custom PC, and sell it for $2000? That might be possible. If you bought a $1000 of materials could you make something out of it where your time and effort is worth another $1000 for a customer? Of course I have a job so I would either have to do this in my spare time or quit my job, which realistically means I'm spending a lot more than $1000 by giving up a paycheck.

Does anyone watch that show American Pickers on the History Channel? I wish I had the knowledge to dig through garages and barns and come out with amazing items that people want to buy. They always seem to double their money at least on that show.

Does anyone watch that show American Pickers on the History of destroying everything your network stood for with glorifed pawn shopping and some homeless conspiracy theorist you slapped a labcoat on and paid to say aliens a few times Channel? I wish I had the knowledge to dig through garages and barns with a script and come out with amazing items that people want to buy. They always seem to double their money at least on that show. It's almost like its staged
fixed which one was it that got a bunch of people to think an NES was worth 1 million dollars? I can't recall...

High risk. High rate on return. Probably going to have to exchange with several small buyers to make a grand as quick as possible. Not bad, but stupid. Very stupid.

Not a bad idea. Would probably take prior knowledge on which phones are the easiest to fix, which phones are in demand, and with all used product sales, which products have the highest profit margin. Possible, but not easy.
Also there is a good chance that repairing one phone is very different than repairing another.

Can be quite different, but you can turn a $100 broken iPhone 4S into a $350 working iPhone 4S for an additional $45 a pop.

Wow. Yeah. I haven't gotten that much but I've been pretty high. Though that is a clear sign your taking Waaaayyyy to much out every pay check. I go for about $1,000 back sweet spot. Once you go under that then luck starts playing a role.

Yeah I know, I told my wife she needs to claim both kids but she doesn't until the end of the year. You end up paying the same no matter what, but I kind of like it this way since it's like a savings account that you raid every year.

Anyway...I'm dealing with the american patent system for an idea that cost me 100 dollars. Not much until you factor fees of assholes who want to take a slice of the pie but it's not even ready so they're dippin in cake batter. Assholes.
I already done did it. I use it everyday. Can't wait to sell to yall mafuckas because it's Occam's razor, as all good inventions should be.

so i thought i was out of money and broke..i knew my tax return was coming, but wasn't sure when. I had already bought gas, and wasn't sure if i should go watch the movie at the theaters. Turned out i got it. I was expecting sub $200 when i checked the ATM and there was like $1200 in my account.
