Title: The "Deep Web" is a horrible place, a hundred times worse than 4chan.
Post by: Oblivion on March 08, 2013, 01:44:41 AM
Ever heard the phrase? It's the 80 percent of the Internet that isn't indexed, so it can't be viewed by normal means, and cannot be searched. They end in a ".onion" domain and have completely randomized URLs. It can only be viewed by programs that are made to view these pages, one of these is TOR. Because of these things, viewing Deep Web is untraceable, though they can monitor who comes out of the Deep Web, but not what they were doing in it. It's completely anonymous, much more so than 4chan.

The Deep Web is also the most fucked up place in the world. Because it's completely untraceable, every single illegal activity you can think of breeds there. Drug and human trafficking, sites where you can pay someone in your area to kill someone you want dead, like a fucked up version of craigslist. Loads and loads of child pornography, sites teaching you on how to kidnap a child or the best way to kill a family and frame the husband as a murder-suicide, and even forums dedicated to kinks related to injecting themselves with HIV blood and giving that blood to unwitting participants.

All those websites, imageboards, and forums are collected in a wiki called "The Hidden Wiki", which is just what it sounds like. I spent a grand total of ten minutes in the Deep Web, and I noped the **** out of there.

Oh god why did I read this? It's like when I know an old house is haunted I just have to peak inside. Even though I never do.

So the deep web huh? Ok I guess when I lose my mind and become a costumed vigilante out for justice I will pick all my targets through this thing.

Oblivion, how did you find out about this? I mean I knew such sites existed but didn't know they were hidden like that. Your young and angry mind shouldn't be wandering the deep hidden hollows of the Internet.

I found that it existed through a thread on Reddit. It was a thread about guys in IT who fixed computers or did backups, and the things they have seen. Someone told a horror story about when they found child pornography, and somehow the conversation led to Deep Web.

I can normally take a lot of crap from the Internet, but that was too much.
angry mind

 ...wait a second. Hey! >.<

oh god not you too

@Caterkiller: to explain S-U-P-E-R's joke, bitcoins are a form of internet currency that people usually use in place of cash to buy crap on Deep Web. It can be converted to USD, I believe. Oh, I think there's a place callled "The Silk Road" in Deep Web where you can get any drug you want, for a price. Have I destroyed your virgin mind yet? :(

You know I knew this kind of stuff went on. I just didn't know it was hidden like that like ancient government secrets or something. Somehow that just makes it worse.

This forum has had a long-standing rule that talking about illegal activities is one thing - but giving out links and directions on how to partake is another.  Please don't.
