Title: New Mario 3D Adventure, Mario Kart in Development

New Mario games are in the pipeline, we'll see more this year.

Nintendo EAD, the development team of the Super Mario Galaxy and 3D Land games, are working on a new 3D Mario adventure for Wii U. The next entry in the long-running Mario Kart series has also been announced for the same console.

The news comes as a surprise announcement during today's Nintendo Direct conference.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata was unable to provide any screenshots or footage of the games in development, but promised that both games will be playable at this year's E3.

Seeing Yoshi was more than enough to satisfy my Mario style cravings for now. Still it's always nice to hear these games are being made even though it was 10,000% given.

Did he tease an E3 reveal about the location of where bears ****?

The title of the article mentions a new Mario Kart but the article itself didn't, if true I can't wait for it! (I just hope they don't cheap out on this one like Mario Kart 7 by taking out loved characters like Waluigi and cool things like choosing your own courses and how many you want in a grand prix like on Mario Kart DS. All in all, I still can't wait!)

yeah, i think he mentioned this new place called the woods. news to me. I totally did not expect that announcement.

Does anyone know which day Nintendo is gunna be on E3?
All i know is that the days are June 11th-13th. Ive been searching online, but no one can help me!
and does anyone know if the rumor about the Yoshi's island / Yoshi's world game for the wii u is true?

Really, this is barely an announcement. For almost a decade it's been EAD Tokyo's job to make 3D Mario games, and did anyone ever even consider the possibility that they weren't making Mario Kart for Wii U? Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly excited for both games, but no more than I was a week ago, when I'd have said with 99% certainly both of them would be at E3.

I already figured that these games would show up at E3, but I guess it's nice to confirm that they will be.
