Title: Limited Edition Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS Hardware Bundle Headed to North America
Post by: JusDBerube on January 11, 2013, 10:55:10 PM

This 3DS will make a great collectors' item.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/32974

A limited edition Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS hardware bundle is coming to North America. The bundle will include a pre-installed copy of Fire Emblem: Awakening and a specially designed 3DS featuring artwork based on the game.

Nintendo plans to release the bundle in both the United States and Canada.

The same limited edition 3DS was released last year in Japan alongside the release of Fire Emblem: Awakening in the region.

Ugh, I wish people would stop using that stupid term for the 3DS.

That 3DS looks damn sexy.

The 3DS Fire Emblem unit looks extremely sexy and epic... at the same time!  By the time the bundle is released in North America, there's a very strong possibility it's gonna sell out within weeks.

Since Nintendo started selling retail games on the eShop, all 3DS bundles have had the game pre-installed.

Do these units with pre-installed games come with an extra large SD card? My standard 3DS XL came with a 4GB that I've since changed to a 32GB.

If I didn't already have the Zelda 3DS I would definitely get this one. Though if I had the money I may not buy this since the copy of FE that comes with it is the digital pre-installed. Not sure if I would be able to transfer it to my main 3DS.

It's still an awesome looking unit though.

That looks really neat.

I refuse to upgrade my 3DS until they make meaningful revisions, but if money wasn't a consideration (which of course it is) I'd totally pick this up.

I'm still waiting for that time when I can't help but "upgrade" to an XL.  I guess this isn't the time.  Maybe they will release the White Monster Hunter one over here.. maybe?

And I don't get the taco comment in as much as it relates to the 3DS...

The original design of the 3DS is a clamshell that has three different-colored layers. Ergo, a taco

Also Zach deemed it to be called Taco in his XL review or preview.

Still doesn't make it stupid to call it that. If anything, you have to go out of your way to call it that since its easier and faster to say 3DS.

Only if you're typing it, and even then probably not.

Actually, it's far faster and easier to type "3DS" than taco.

Taco is one more letter but 3DS requires capitalization, so I'd argue it's pretty much a wash. Certainly not "far" anything. And this is probably the dumbest argument I've ever been in on this site.

For a fast and/or good typist, 3DS is just as fast (and sounds better).

Anyways, if I didn't already have a 3DS, I would consider this bundle.

My brother is a poor college student so I'm waiting for an XL color I want before I give him my 3DS and upgrade. I've never gotten into Fire Emblem, but I like the shade of blue. If it was an XL, I would strongly consider getting it. I have a $100 gift card from Christmas and $15 in Best Buy Reward Zone points (thanks Wii U). I guess I'm still waiting on black.

Besides the capitilization all the letters of Taco are in easy reach of the home row and unlike the 3DS don't all use you left hand.  Though if your right hand is otherwise occupied 3DS would be easier to type.

Tacos suck, except for the Doritos Los Locos taco.

Eck, I cannot believe you dare mention Taco Bell in the awesome presents of tacos. Bleck..Now places like Jumburrito (https://www.google.com/search?q=jumburrito&hl=en&safe=active&sa=X&tbo=u&rlz=1C1LDJZ_enUS500US500&biw=1024&bih=667&source=univ&tbm=plcs&ei=Z_gFUZOHJoPAyAHI2oCIDg&ved=0CDgQtQM). Mm Mm Good..Anyways, I wonder why this bundle is a 3DS and not an XL. Seems strange to me, however there is probably an amount of Nintendo fans that like the convenience of the smaller version.
