I must say that over the past two years, Dasmos has been finding and displaying some pretty awesome Cat avatars and it definitely deserves a moment of recognition. At times, they have even become sensations here at NWR with Lettuce Cat is so last week. Mock me for being behind the times. being a prime example. Bravo sir, bravo.

Unfortunately I missed catlettuce, it was before I legitimately came back to the forums. But, I know Dasmos is awesome so I'm just going to make up my own catlettuce in my mind and let myself be blown away.

oh, I guess this is as good a time as ever to throw this out there.. I never used to get the internets fascination with cats, but near the start of 2012 I came into a position where I found myself 'adopting' my friends 2 cats because of a change in her living situation - she had no one else to turn to and didn't want to give them up - and now that I've been living with these 2 cats for a year... i finally get it now..

And yeah, having owned numerous cats and one suspicious cat-like dog over the past 25 years I still don't know how to explain to people why cats are so awesome. It is one of those "you just have to own one" things.

My friend/former cat owner says these are weirder than normal though! Do your cats ever headbutt you for attention? one of them does it rapid fire, like a pigeon or something..

Awesome! He did post a "cat"alogue of past avatars. I didn't want to demand he do so but hoped this thread might get him to do so. This earns a Double Dasmos Salute!
I just love this current avatar. I want to call him the No-No cat but maybe someone can come up with a better nickname.

Wow! I can't believe this thread over 4 years old. I felt like I made it most recently. Anyways I'm bumping it because I really feel like Dasmos should make an avatar out of this gif but he doesn't seem to frequent this site as much to flood the forums with it as much as I'd like with his postings. Still, here's hoping he takes it under advisement.

I've always loved Dasmos's cat avatars. I've saved a few, not sure where I put them on my hard drive though. If you think it's weird: I used to run the official avatar discussion.
That board had little to do with alien cat people though.

Cat month could run after we wrap up the Summer of Donkey-ness. So September, where we all take on cat avatars and post cat memes. It would even be relevant what with there being plenty of Cat Mario/Peach/Luigi images to tap into.
