Title: Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest Demo PCB on Ebay
Post by: Stark_Nebula on December 22, 2012, 01:02:48 PM
I don't know if anyone is interested when test/demo cartridges are unearthed, but I am. While browsing on ebay I stumbled across what is supposed to be a demo pcb (it doesn't look like a cart to me anyway) of Dragon Quest. One of the DIP chips is labelled "Dragon Warrior" with "A Pr. 6.89 CH(2 or 8, I can't tell)" underneath. As usual, the price is high at 2400$ (but way better than the absurd 50 000$ most people put on well known/popular games). The only information given is this "This was legally obtained from a liquidation asset auction back in the 90s. I have no idea how to get this thing to work, I have never seen a board like this before." I find it cool. I've always loved these sort of beta ROMs since it gives you a glimpse of what the game was like during development or ideas that never made it into the final release. Anyway, I'd like to know your thoughts on this. C:

It's legit; I've bought a ton of stuff from that seller, though that's way out of my price range.
