Title: NWR Survey! What Wii U Games Do You Own?

I was curious how Wii U Launch Window Games were selling, so I made a list. Please check the games you own. Let me know if I missed anything notable. I kept the shovelware off, except for Funky Barn because it is FUNKAY!

Interestingly Mario has more votes than Nintendo Land, which means i am not the only Basic guy around here.
I think it's possible some Deluxe owners are also forgetting to check it

Another interesting thing is that I am the only person so far out of 13 who doesn't own New Super Mario Bros U. This is why Nintendo has put out so many NSMB games lately.

I guess Kairon hasn't voted yet as Funky Barn has no votes. :) Where's the option to say "Does not have a Wii U?" I did vote for NSMBU though since I do have that. :)

There should be an option to change your vote later because I plan on buying Darksiders II, Arkham City, Little Inferno, Mighty Switch Force HD, and Monster Hunter HD.

At 20 participants, NSMBU has an almost 1:1 ratio with the system, outdoing Nintendoland, a pack in! I think that qualifies it as a killer app.
Being a high profile platform exclusive, Zombi U is the best selling third party game, followed by the e-shop NanoAssault. I think Nano did well in part because of the cheap price.
ScribbleNauts unlimited is lower than I would hope, but I think like myself, many people have a hard time justifying $60 for a ScribbleNauts game, no matter how good.

If I could, I'd fix my entry to include Transformers Prime, which I'm probably the only owner here of (no, I still haven't played it yet. I only just finished the 2nd season of the show). I had NintendoLand, but I didn't include it because it came with the system, and I got rid of it after a few hours of play in favor of Sonic All-Stars.

I tried the Sonic All Stars demo, it seemed part Mario Kart and part arcade racing game. Surprisingly tough.

I got Nintendo Land with the system, bought ZombiU, and the wifey got me New Super Mario Bros and Ass Creed 3. I was deep into ZombiU but have had to put it aside for the moment because I'm head over heals for Ass Creed 3. So far I think its the best one in the series, which to me, its saying a lot since I've enjoyed all of them.
This one does have a lot of technical issues and I've read about the complaints about the pacing in the game but I think its an amazing looking game and the pacing is the best part. Its a lot slower burn compared to the previous Ass Creeds but it gives me the same vibe I got with Red Dead Redemption in that I feel like the slow pace really sets me into the world and timeframe. It feels more and more like a true role playing game in the sense that you feel as if your living the life of that character. That's just me though, my opinion is biased in that I've always loved the series. I'll leave it at that though as to not and derail this thread.

I changed the poll so you can change your vote now, just click the "Remove Vote" option under the poll and you'll be able to vote again. Unfortunately you'll have to revote for all the ones you already have instead of just checking the new ones, which was annoying for me to click 15 times just to make sure it worked.

We have 26 votes and Mario is still in the lead.
Those percentage numbers are kinda wacked though. 23 out of 26 people got Mario, that's like 90 percent of all voted people. Now it says 19.5%. I understand those numbers are made to total to 100% at the bottom but that way they're just pointless in multi-vote poll like this.

Yeah, if you want to find the percentage of people who own each one you need to do the math yourself. Still, I think it's interesting that almost one fifth of all the games people who voted own are copies of New Super Mario Bros. U.

Zombi U is doing great, CodBlops2, Batman, ACIII, and Darksiders II are doing okay Ninja Gaiden 3, ME3, and Tekken aren't doing very well.

Ninja Gaiden 3 is especially not doing very well, since I'm apparently the only one here who has it, and I got it as a review copy so nobody actually bought the copy I have.

I expect my votes to increase after Christmas. Gift cards are a good motivator to impulse buy games.

Ports up the Wazoo. Some that have been out for quite a while before the Wii U launch. I might get a few if I can pay under retail, but I don't necessarily see the benefit in getting the Wii U versions for those games with the exception of maybe BLOPS & Tekken.

The first "movie" that 007 Legends goes to isn't bad, but right after that I'm currently stuck on a "vehicle" level, that vehicle being skis and stuck being hitting trees all the time. I read on Miiverse that the Mission design starts to degrade near the end, but I so hope that isn't the case because what I've played so far, while not amazing, is definitely not worth the bad word of mouth the game's been having.

Darksiders II has proven more popular than I thought, but I guess it's a moot point since THQ is going down the drain. There will probably never be a Darksiders III.

Which is a HUGE shame... because it looked like the next one could have been based on Strife. And in turn would probably have made for a killer third-person shooter (my favourite genre).

I really enjoy playing all of them and using the Miiverse along side them. The only game that has disappointed me so far is Tank! Tank! Tank! It honestly looks more fun in a YouTube video than it actually is. Sadly, because of life priorities I don't have that much time to play them. Some of them will remain unbeaten for quite a while. But I'm working my way on in NSMBU to collect all the Star Coins. It's a tough game, especially collecting these Star Coins, they are very well hidden.

I still have a few games to buy that came out at launch. Been trying to buy one game a check. I'm thinking of getting Trine this time since I had a few bills to pay. (Plus help my parents pay one) I'm still planning on getting: Ninja Gaiden ACIII Scribblenaughts (I know my spelling is horrible) Trine 2 Skylanders Giants (Already have some of the figures) Batman MHIII (When it comes out in March) Tekken Plus some of the other digital releases that are not listed. (cloudberry kingdom)

I want to pick up Tekken eventually. Might bite the bullet over the holidays and download cuz the kids and I are home and we can virtually punch each other in the face. Plus, the digital deluxe program gives a kind of discount anyway.

I just hope Ubisoft is quicker with a sequel to Zombi U than they were with Red Steel. Red Steel 2 was four years later and I think it suffered for it.

I was the first voter for Warriors Orochi, the TGS podcast talked positively about that game so I decided to give it a try and test the eShop in the same move. While that was the cheapest option (considering the 8% points back that we get with the premium Wii U, I only need to spend another 2.50€ to get my 5€ voucher) it wasn't very pleasant, took about 1.5 days to download* and with its 16GB that's half my Wii U's storage gone now. Installing took over half an hour and it wasn't even fully patched after the download. Also I only learned on the second day that that relatively loud noise the Wii U makes is the disc spinning (even though the disc game wasn't running) so I only managed to reduce the noise on the second day of downloading.
I'm holding off on Little Inferno because of the currently running Steam sale, I expect the game to appear as a daily deal at 50% off or so. Even 8% money back wouldn't make up for that.
*= Granted, I have a rather weak 3Mbit/sec connection but the Wii U left enough bandwidth to watch Youtube videos, when I try to watch those while Steam is downloading anything I won't see much other than buffering.

The demo is 1 gigabyte. The full game of Warriors Orochi is 16 gigabytes. Dude.

I'm with ShyGuy on this one. A "launch window" shouldn't be any longer than two months. What Nintendo are thinking is bollocks - there's no way they can get me to believe that their launch window consists of a four month period. Crazy talk.
But anyway, I played a ton of Tekken Tag the other day with a visiting friend of mine. Had a blast. Brilliant game, and I can't wait to dive a bit deeper in to it - just have to finish my FIFA season currently in progress. :P

Well, NintendoLand, NSMBU and ZombiU seem to be the big winners so far. Not surprising, but all good games worthy of their sales. Trine 2 is the fourth most popular, followed closely by CODBlopsII at fifth. Apparently everyone hates Sing Party. Monster Hunter is only Japan, I was hoping somebody from there would add it their list.
I'm going to make a bold statement and say that Nintendo having only two major titles at launch lead to more third party sales.
I was hoping we would have the next wave of release by January 17th, but January has been deader than the fifth year of Gamecube. At least we get The Cave today! Go buy it people! It's from the creator of Monkey Island and it is a 2D platformer adventure game.
