Whether you call it football or soccer, sample it on Wii U.

The first North American Wii U demo is EA's FIFA 13. The demo is available on the Wii U eShop, and allows ten plays before it can no longer be accessed.

The demo allows players to choose from five teams. You can read our review of FIFA 13 here.

To download the demo, search for FIFA 13 on the Wii U eShop. With the game's profile on the GamePad's screen, touch the More Details button. You'll be brought to the About This Software page, with a Download Demo button. Touch that to begin your download.

This marks the Wii U's first demo, although Ubisoft had originally stated an intention to release a Rayman Legends demo with the launch of the Wii U. That demo has yet to arrive.

I hope they learn their lesson from the 3DS' eShop and create a dedicated section for demos. Digging through so many menus to access them is not very user friendly.
