A new firmware update is now available for download onto your Wii U.
The update has just become available and comes in at a size of 593 megabytes. Once our updates have finished installing, we will be able to report on what exactly it contains.The update, given its size, may finally unlock Nintendo TVii functionality.

But really...593MB for stability and minor interface adjustments???!?!!A lot of binary files probably have to changed. Even if a binary file only had a few changes, you still have to re-download the entire binary, you can't really download separate parts of it.
It appears it started downloading in teh background sometime after I first checked.
So what are the chances, TVii was in here and they just have to "turn it on" and maybe they will do that tomorrow? Wishful thinking?

Still not seeing it. Do they have to be online? Don't see it on MiiVerse profiles, either. Lame.
I wish you could Yeah! a picture from the plaza instead of having to open Miiverse. It would also be nice to save those pictures. Some of the stuff people draw is amazing.
