Ok, so here's what I was trying to post yesterday, coincidentally right when the thread closed:

I'm the killer. Shocking. The fact is, I just don't have the energy to go through all the subterfuge and whatnot to deal with being the killer. So I thought I'd confess. Then I thought I'd post an idea and/or a compromise. If you guys don't vote me out, I'm going to let there be a "second vote." Whomever gets the most votes in the second vote gets killed each night. Simple enough. Just format your vote like this: kill _____

So if you were to try to get me to kill myself, you'd write kill thatguy. Obviously I wouldn't do that, but otherwise I'll pretty much honor whomever everyone votes for. Other rule? If you don't get your kill vote in by 10pm, regardless of when I'm online, there's a decent chance it won't be counted. Just sayin'. I don't feel like having to rush to tally up votes and all that sort of stuff.

Happy voting! Also, I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for today, so I don't have a vote yet.

It's not who I am, but what I do that defines me.

Vol. 1 for action, Vol. 2 for those great character moments?
Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2
Post by: Fatty The Hutt on December 04, 2012, 01:10:20 PM
@Oblivion, that's a pretty good summation. I'd go with that.
In Vol. 1, I love the Vernita Green and Hattori Hanzo sequences unreservedly. I really enjoy the House Of Blue Leaves segment (especially the wonderful unbroken camera shot) but sometimes have the feeling it goes on just a touch too long with the Crazy 88s. I was stunned by the great Anime sequences on first viewing and still like them but sometimes skip over them on re-watching. The first part of the hospital sequence with Elle Driver is wonderful but the rest is tiresome, especially from the point that The Bride wakes up onward (at least until the Ren Oshii back story). Watching The Bride discover her baby loss is just painful (not ina good way). it goes on way too long and seems to be an attempt to inject forced real-world pathos in what is otherwise a heightened (even silly, at times) action/revenge story. I love the ay music is used throughout the film.

Vol. 2 has a string of excellent sequences: Buck's trailer, escaping the burial, the training story, the meeting with the creepy cut-yer-face guy. And the whole ending is about the best part of either film. Masterful.

It appears that we're no better off today then with Day 1. Three townies are dead and we're just pointing fingers randomly.

Glados, Fatty_The_Hutt, and Stogi all voted for Khush (excluding Khush himself from the vote)

Now Glados was a townie as confirmed by his death and Stogi has been made pretty obvious. So that leaves Fatty, who is now voting for S-U-P-E-R, as is everyone else when really we have nothing on him.

Oohhboy, Ceric, and Mr. Phishfood voted for S-U-P-E-R, as well as me, so maybe I'm just as guilty. Ceric didn't have too much to say, neither did Oohhboy. Being new and of little activity, Mr. Phishfood is probably not a threat. Oohhboy and Ceric may be questionable. And me? Well, I'm just a sneaky bastard. ALSO TJSpyke attempted to vote S-U-P-E-R as well, but other than that he layed low.

Now I'm not really sure that this S-U-P-E-R bandwagon is the best choice, all things considered. I know by posting this I am the guilty one, but hopefully you see there are other potential suspests.

Currently, Oohhboy and Fatty are both voting for S-U-P-E-R while he and Stratos are targeting TJ.

We're at the crossroads of voting.

I'm going to vote Fatty_the_Hutt and see where things go from there.

I don't really get why Khushrenada decided to kill himself, but he seemed to think S-U-P-E-R was worth saving. He usually doesn't do things without reason.

I'm not really sure what TJ Spyke did either... With the way posts were edited yesterday I can't tell if he was trying to keep it tied or not.

I'll have to consider this for a bit.

Now Glados was a townie as confirmed by his death and Stogi has been made pretty obvious. So that leaves Fatty, who is now voting for S-U-P-E-R, as is everyone else when really we have nothing on him.
Don't we though? S-U-P-E-R does this big opening gambit of "Hey, look at me! I'm a big target! Come at me!" and what happens? It magically deflects harm to others. S-U-P-E-R tap-dances, side-steps, slips through the gaps and escapes death. This is his M.O. He's setting up the same pattern again today.

Do not be fooled, my friends. Vote S-U-P-E-R before it is too late!

We know that a townie started the vote for Khushrenada, and another one of the people who voted for him was Stogi who pretty much proved he's a townie. So I don't think the Khushrenada vote was any sort of Mafia deflection, and I'd say those who voted for S-U-P-E-R yesterday are more likely to be Mafia.

I think I'm going to join the vote TJ Spyke, he may have been trying to get a tie so that both of them would be out.

Jane never got it removed from way back when he/she hosted a mafia game which halted by his/her disappearance and never got finished.

And I was just voicing another route. If you guys are sure on the S-U-P-E-R vote, go ahead, but I'm sticking on my vote. Of course, if he turns out to be mafia, I'll attract the next bandwagon, but only because I was trying to keep our options open.

Just going to jump in here and talk about yesterdays thread.

As most of you guys know the Stogi role was used and that caused the day to be locked earlier then usual. When I went to go look at the votes there was votes for SUPER and Khushrenada. It was 3-2. Those votes were bolded and Khushrenada would have been voted out but there was one vote that was unbolded and that was a vote for SUPER which would have tied it up. Since the player in question it was his first game and the first day I allowed it thus creating the tie so I unlocked the thread for the tie breaking period. Khushrenada had his Glados vote still bolded at this time and he voted for SUPER. So with 2 bolded votes I couldn't lock the thread till the time period was up or until he unbolded his Glados vote. But before he unbolded his Glados vote he changed his vote from SUPER to himself then he unbolded the Glados vote then I could lock the thread but I was tallying the votes but didn't lock the thread again after he changed his vote back to himself. All this happened before TJ put in his vote and really shouldn't count.

I locked the thread after TJs vote but it really should not count.

insanolord, in his infinite wisdom, has used his vote changing power to make it so SUPER and TJ Spyke are still tied, so  the thread's open again, and if you didn't vote or voted for someone else you have the ability to break the tie.

Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2

I'm not clear on something: If the mafia vote hour nullifier (James Jones) acts, and I change my vote after that hour, does it still count?

And how does that factor in with the vote changer on the townie's side?

Anyways, let's be clear on this: Khush sacrificed himself yesterday to protect SUPER. It doesn't take an idiot to see he did that for a reason. Someone vote to save the guy.
Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2
Post by: NWR_insanolord on December 05, 2012, 12:44:12 AM
The Crimm power only cancels out that hour, so if you change later it's like you cast a new vote and that first one never happened. The insanolord power changes one person's vote, and can't be undone by that person.
Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2
Post by: that Baby guy on December 05, 2012, 12:45:09 AM
If I vote during the Crimm power, and the Insanolord power changes my vote, that changed vote counts? Or is it still nullified?

Edit: I have decided to remove my vote above. I am currently abstaining from voting.
Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2
Post by: NWR_insanolord on December 05, 2012, 12:47:18 AM
It's still nullified. Admin powers overrule mod powers.

To change your vote, you're supposed to un-bold the original vote and then make a new post with your new vote, and that new post would be outside of the hour that gets nullified.
Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2
Post by: that Baby guy on December 05, 2012, 12:48:53 AM
I have removed my previous vote. By that virtue, my vote should be unchangeable, since there is no vote:

"Insanolord (Vote changer) Can change someones vote to anything he wants it to be. This can be done before the day thread is locked."
Title: Re: Mafia LVIII: Radio Free Mafia Day 2
Post by: NWR_insanolord on December 05, 2012, 12:56:08 AM
Well, that's an interesting way to play it. I'll give it to you, though, the insanolord role can only change a vote that's been cast, not vote for someone who hasn't. That breaks the tie.

Last call for night actions; I'll be posting tomorrow's thread in about 20 minutes.
