Title: E-Reader worth it?
Post by: novastar512 on May 28, 2003, 10:06:26 AM
Ok, I am almost considering buying an E-reader now. However, it is a tad bit pricey at 55CDN. However, the games are reasonable at 6.00CDN. I am really interesting in the donkey kong games, Excitebike, Ice Climers and golf.
Does, anybody have it and is it worth getting? BTW- I have an SP.(if only nintendo released an SDK for it so people could make their own games)

Well, I would say that it depends on how much you want to play those games. I enjoy checking out some of the classic NES games that I missed and picking up a pack of Animal Crossing cards every now and then, but keep in mind that games didn't used to have the depth you're accustomed to today. Try to get a copy of the free Air Hockey card that was being distributed last fall. It rocks.

The E-reader is a neat little gadget, but I really haven't used it much beyond scanning stuff for Animal Crossing. I see a lot more potential for it with games like SMA4, where you can load new levels from the cards. But yeah, Air Hockey is cool. Last time I went to my local Software Etc, they still had a big box packed full of them.
