Title: Black Friday 2012!

IT HAS BEGUN

Keep yours eyes posted on these sites.
Slickdeals.net
Dealnews.com
Dailysteals.com and
Fatwallet.com
Each of these sites will keep you up to date on the best deals, but you got to check em everyday to take advantage of them.
For instance, I just copped two 42" 1080p LED Hisense TV (http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/83078/tigerdirect.com-42-hisense-f42k20e-1080p-led-hdtv-refurbished) for $215 a piece for the sole purpose of reselling them. Sounds like a decent tv, but with a 4.3/5 rating at Hhgregg and 81% at Walmart, it shouldn't be hard to make a couple hundred total so I can have more cash this December.
The only deal that I found that's better is Best Buy's Black Friday deal for a 40" Toshiba LCD 1080p TV for $179 (plus tax).

Thinking about a big brand new tv for Wii U, that and the Mario U promotion and Old Navy. What are the good tvs I should look out for?

If you can get in line for Best Buy on Black Friday, nothing is going to beat that deal for a 40" Toshiba for $180 + tax.

Not as good of a deal, but if you have a small room, Wal-Mart has a 24" TV for $78.

bfads.net is a good aggregate site as well.
Wal mart has dsi xl for $99. I think they're the only people selling those things anymore.

I honestly didn't know we didn't have an Amazing Deals thread in general chat, go figure..
Anywho I thought I'd share:
Amazon is having some pretty sweet sales on movies starting Monday 11/19 through Black Friday. That means tomorrow folks!
Check this link for a list of movies and their prices as well as which day the sale takes place (http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=pe_172280_26919690_pe_r1_row_3ptr/?docId=1000845091)
I'll definately be doing some shopping here to build up my blu-ray collection. Some movies are older and I may already own, but for these prices it's worth upgrading to the blu-ray (LOTR for $4, Ironman 1 for $1! whaat!)

Any deals for Wii U games going on? I wanna get BLOPS 2 or SMB U.
Toys R Us has Buy 1 get 1 40% off on all wii and Wii U games.
I just got back, bought NSMBWU, BLOPS, Assassins Creed and Batman. I lucked out with NSMB, it was the last copy they had, at least the last one in the glass case.

I got CABIN IN THE WOODS on bluray for $8 on Amazon. My sister also scored me a copy of NSMBU from Old Navy. I dunno if I'm gonna sell it or hang onto it for the eventual day I get a Wii U. It's like, get $60 (probably in store credit) now or not spend $60 somewhere down the line? Tough call.

No store will give you $60 in-store credit for it since it is the price for new copies. You can expect $30 max (more if they offer a trade-in bonus). If u plan to get the game anyways, just keep it since you will save yourself $30.

Yeah, you won't get 60 for it. A gamestop flyer says that if you return NSMBU within 30 days of release, they'll give you thirty bucks. After that? Who knows.
I could take it off your hand for $40. ;)

Standard rule of trade-ins: even on launch day you will never get more than half of the games price in trade-in (meaning a $40 game will be $20 max) before adding in bonus offers like "30% extra trade-in credit". Even if the game is still shrink-wrapped, it won't matter because they need to actually make money (which they won't do if they give you $60 for it since they can only sell it for $60, resulting in $0 profit) and because they don't know if you stole the game (I remember stories of people going to Walmart and stealing like 20 copies of the same game and going next door to a GameStop to trade them in, and the GS employees didn't find it out that someone would trade in 15 new copies of the same game).

A few years ago someone gave me Resistance 2 and I brought it back to Best Buy with no receipt and got $60 (plus tax) in store credit. I had no idea if it was actually from Best Buy. I suppose that was a few years ago, maybe they've all cracked down on such practices now. The morally corrupt (thieves) are ruining it for the morally grey (retail exploiters/me).
In the end though, I will one day own a Wii U and I will want to play this game. I'm gonna keep it. Although, Oblivion, there's a good chance I could get my hands on a second Old Navy copy of NSMBU from my sister's friend that she went with last night. If that happens I'll hook you up.

Good guy alert!
I bought both Lord of the Rings and The Dark Knight and Brave for dirt cheap on amazon this week (blu-ray). The first 2 films were an upgrade/replacement (my original LOTR is damaged) but Brave is brand new, and for $8 for the blu-ray and digital copy, that's a damn steal.
I ALMOST bought The Amazing Spiderman too but I'm glad I was careful reading the description despite feeling the pressure of those damn lightning deals. It wasn't a blu-ray copy like I had originally thought, it was digital copy only.

Missed out of those Microsoft Store deals: They had Tekken Tag 2 for $10. :(
Really didn't spend much this year myself since I still have a boatload of backlog games from last year's deals.
This year's booty: Left for Dead 2 (PC since all the DLC packs are free anyhow) $5 from steam. Starcraft 2 $20 (PC--Battle.net sale) Trine 2 Expansion Globin King $4 (PC steam sale, in fact you can get the entire series for $8). Mass Effect 3 Leviathan $5 (360--XBL sale) Batman Arkham City Harvey Quinn Revenage $5 (360--XBL sale)
Total $40 for 2 games and three expansions.
Going head to Target today, hopefully they have more MS point cards (they ended up selling 1600 point cards for $10).
