We've got three copies of Mutant Mudds to give away! Enter now!

Calling all European 3DS owners! In celebration of the game's recent free update, Nintendo World Report has teamed up with Renegade Kid to give away three copies of the hard-as-nails download platformer Mutant Mudds.

It's an excellent game—our own Neal Ronaghan gave it a 9 his review and said in his closing comments: "Mutant Mudds is a top-tier eShop title, and deserves to be played by any fan of 2D platformers." Furthermore, with the recent update, the game now contains an additional 20 extra-difficult bonus levels.

To have a chance of claiming one of these copies, all you have to do is log onto Twitter and send this tweet:

@Nintendo_NWR I'm mad for Mutant Mudds! Give it to me now!

Simple, right? Once the competition ends, we will pick three lucky winners at random to receive a redeemable download code for Mutant Mudds, courtesy of Jools Watsham. Good luck to all entrants!

Ground rules:

(1.) This competition is only eligible for those in Europe.

(2.) Only one entry per person is allowed.

(3.) The competition closes at 12:00 GMT on Monday, November 5, 2012. Make sure you get your entry in before then.

Why are download codes region-specific?

Disappointing. Why do I have to do hash tag marketing to enter a competition?
I've never even worked for Square Enix, heck  I'm not even a games journalist.
Which is probably why I don't have a Twitter account to begin with.

Why? Most people have Twitter, and it's free. No big deal.

I agree. It's not a big deal. I'm just not into the whole Twitter, Facebook [insert next big social media behemoth here] thing. I've never signed up for Facebook or any of these other things.

Plus, when I heard Mutant Mudds Contest I thought it might involve something cool like writing a short story, doing some art, writing a review; you know, things which actually require some input and brain function? Maybe I expected too much, but I'm a huge fan of the game and was hoping to win a copy for a friend to help spread the word.

An art contest would be cool, but the trouble with such a thing is that it's inherently subjective and very difficult to judge. I'd hate for someone to put in a lot of effort into a piece of artwork and then get nothing out of it. This way, it's more fair, and easy for people to enter.

Yeah, but it's also less fun.  :P:

When and where will you announce the winners?

Yeah, but it's also less fun.  :P:
We'd also end up with very few entries.

Hashtagging a template statement isn't exactly a contest though is it? A contest is something which involves competition, not repetition of a statement. Even had the contest been set up such that the three best tweets would win a copy, that would have been a contest. It would also have involved more work on your end but that's besides the point.

Are you going to publicly announce the winners, or are you just going to let them know privately? Or have the winners have already been told by now? Because the competition's been closed for ages.
