Hey, This game looks great, I've been loving the mario rpg's nintendo made, and this one looks similar. Does anybody know if mario and luigi are the only ones you can control in battle, and if not what other characters can you control. I want Geno and MALO!

i'm pretty sure you'll be able to control bowser like in legend of the seven stars. they hinted at it in the last nintendo power.

the game looks like a direct sequel to paper mario on n64 the battle system looks exactly like that- 2 characters on screen- timed moves i think mario and luigi may be the only ones to control in the game- i mean it is called MARIO AND LUIGI...... also- the jumping aspect sounds like it will be important (one character jump is the a button, the other the b button) so i dont see that many other characters coming into play on this rpg but i do hope they get some more characters- this game is looking pretty good

Personally I'm disappointed that they're sticking with the Paper Mario style. Like Wind Waker, Paper Mario had a graphic style that I thought was pretty neat but I liked it better as a one-shot deal. I didn't want that to become the standard for the Mario RPG series. Of course I was hoping for Square to work on the next Mario RPG and this is confirmation that that's not going to happen. I was hoping for a Square developed GAMECUBE Mario RPG in the style of the first game and this is pretty much the exact opposite. So I guess you could say I'm disappointed since this is completely different than what I wanted.

super mario rpg: legend of the seven stars wasn't "super mario (and Bowser too!) rpg". the latest ninendo power said that you might be able to play as bowser too. they never actually stated you could, but otherwise that comment would just be a way to disappoint fans when they find out you never actually get to play as bowser.

I cant wait for this game! I hope it has linkup features with Paper Mario GC. Is this game made by intelligent systems? I sure hope so.
