3D Classics Excitebike is now available until August 26 as a North American Club Nintendo reward for 150 coins.

The 3D Classics title, which currently sells for $5.99 on the 3DS eShop, was originally given out for free at the eShop’s launch. The first game in the 3D Classics line, 3D Classics Excitebike adds stereoscopic 3D to the classic NES motocross game.

I bought my 3DS at launch, so I already have this. Even free, not worth it. I remember liking it as a kid, but its boring now and bad. It's "classic" in that it's old, not that it is good.

I got 3D Classics ExciteBike when it was offered for free, and I don't like it. They ruined the physics and so now the game is a lot harder and the tracks don't flow like they used to. Stick with the original if you want to play the game, or better yet, get ExciteBike 64.

I had been thinking about this reward, but am glad to hear some negative viewpoints to help make up my mind. Racing games really aren't my thing anyway so I was mostly just buying because (a) it's in 3D and (b) it's "free".

Thanks!  You guys just saved my points for another day.

I have to agree with everyone else, its not a good game.

The 3D is cool because it changes how the game LOOKS with backgrounds going back.
The gameplay is just too simple now to keep my interest, at least the wiiware game had multiplayer and new maps and levels that transform. This is generic.

SAVE YOUR COINS !!!

It might be worth it if you could share levels between 3DS friends, or leader boards but NOPE its bare bones.

I used to love ExciteBike 64, so I bought it on ebay about 6 months ago.  While better than the original, I am also going to say ExciteBike 64 hasn't aged well, either.  Surely there's a better option for someone with a motocross style game than these two.
