Two Tribes makes it official that Toki Tori 2 will be a Wii U title with a new trailer.

Two Tribes, developer of Toki Tori, made it official that the game's sequel will indeed be making its way to Wii U after much teasing.

While Two Tribes has not listed an official release date, the trailer hints that the game should be out "soon-ish." Check out the trailer for Toki Tori 2 below!

Toki Tori, which came out on Game Boy Color in 2001 originally and was remade on WiiWare in 2008, recently came out on 3DS Virtual Console in Europe. It is due out for 3DS Virtual Console in North America soon.

It should also be noted that Two Tribes have announced that their Wii U GamePad functionality is using it as a virtual viewfinder to take pictures of enemies and stuff on the TV screen. These pictures are then added to an encyclopaedia called the 'Tokidex' (see what they did there?)

Always good to see more support for the Wii U eShop, hopefully out of the gate this time.
