Title: Mafia LVI: Batman. Claiming Your Prize.
Post by: Khushrenada on August 02, 2012, 09:49:54 PM
So, we'll proceed down this list. As we go down, you may choose any prize still remaining. If you don't want a prize, you can abstain. We'll continue on until all prizes are claimed or we reach the end of the list.
Ha ha. At first, I was wondering about that too. It seemed strange that oohhboy would just attack your mom like that. But I only just noticed now that a certain someone added seductive photo's of Shyguy's mom as a prize. Now it all makes sense.
And I will say that I am only sending out the copies. The negatives stay with me now and forever.

I assume the Stars Wars is all of this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Empire). I am leaning Star Wars, but can you tell me a little bit more about the Power Girl collection? If I am looking right the JLI stuff got canned. And the Brightest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brightest_Day) day stuff seems awfully random.

You are correct about the Star Wars Empire. It is that full list of stories.
As far as the Brightest Day goes, it is not the whole lot of Brightest Day issues but rather just the 26 issue maxi-series Justice League: Generation Lost which you can read about here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League:_Generation_Lost) if you want to spoil the story. I will say that Generation Lost was the best thing about Brightest Day in my opinion. It was clear and focused and told a complete story although it definitely ties in a bit to the events that were happening in the DCU at the time but I liked it.
The JLI did get canned which was a surprise because it was selling way better than a lot of other titles that are still being published. No one is sure why. There's been no reason given. That said, they definitely made a couple choices about the team that I didn't like after the great Brightest Day arc but I'm including the issues anyways just to complete the story as it were.
As for Power Girl run, the wikipedia entry is pretty lacking but you can read all about it from this site here. (http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Girl_Vol_2) Basically, the first 12 issues with Amanda Conner are excellent. After that, Winnick takes over and ties it into the Generation Lost story he also wrote and Basri does the art. It's not bad but after the fun of Connor's 12 issues it does seem a bit disappointing. After that, it's just a bunch of small stories with various characters guest starring.

Hmm, as much as I like Boobs, Star Wars is a safer option for me as I don't really know enough about Powergirl or the circles she runs in, although I do enjoy the cameo's she makes in other media. I will leave tham for somebody who can appreciate them better, both the stories and the nice art.
I will take the Star Wars set and PM me to make arrangements to get it shipped to NZ. It shouldn't cost too much on the slow boat here. When I shipped a Gamecube from Japan to the US, it was pretty cost effective. It should be about this much (http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices.aspx?country=10324&m=13&p=0&o=1&mt=13) unless you know of a cheaper option.

Sounds good. I'm actually in Canada but I'm sure the pricing should be close to that.
Speaking of which, if people want to start pming me their shipping info, I can get this ball rolling pretty fast.

I probably would have went for Powergirl if her universe was more cohesive set. You have heros and villains from all over the place with a series that is basically a massive story arc jutting in from some completely different place. Since she is as powerful as Superman, I don't think her stories would be very interesting unless they are amazingly sarcastic all the time constantly deconstruction Super Heros and the misogyny she is sure to face 24/7.

As part of the boobs package as it has come to be called, I'm going to throw in your mother's photos for free. Plus, they are most likely to psychologically scar you than any other person here so we might as well get the most bang for our buck as it were.

Do you accept Khush or I will Jackpot it to the next (Current game). If you are interested in SPAZ Unclebob, but not a friend of Steam I can have a chat with the devs and see if I can get you a non-steam copy. They sell from everything under the sun (http://spacepiratesandzombies.com/buyGame.html).
Ah **** this cold/flu messing with me typing.

Sure Unclebob. Throw the decision on me and make me the badguy. :'( I guess jackpot it. Hate to do that to your prize but I'm just not a fan of zombies. I don't get the appeal quite frankly.
