Wario Land 4!

This RetroActive's hard to pick for me. I would pick Wario Land 4, but I don't have the game and it's not available on the 3DS Virtual Console. I would pick Rogue Leader, but I don't have the game anymore and don't want to buy it again. I've never liked Beyond Good & Evil; FAST is a WiiWare game; and I just don't have interest in Custom Robo. I suppose of the 5, Wario Land is still the more interesting of the bunch to hear discussion about so I'll go with that.

Going to actually vote in this one. Casting my vote for Wario Land 4. Hopefully it will drive me to play it so I can listen/post along with the others about it.

Custom Robo is one of my favorite games on the DS. I'd love to see a new entry in the series.

Hmmm,
I think I have a Japanese copy of Wario 4 so I could play that, I played Rouge till my thumbs hurt back in the day so I can't pick that. I've always heard "magical" things about Beyond and I bought it in PSN when it was on sale and I have yet to play it. FAST... American Wii points are a bit difficult to find in Japan, plus it's never been on my radar, and like Broodwars said... it's a WiiWare game... Custom Robo does spark my interest and shouldn't be too hard to find.
After all that stalling.... I'll vote for Beyond G&E. That way I can work in my trophies :P

Cast my vote. And it's for a game I don't own, too. Looks like I'll be picking it up... should it win.
Suppose I should pick it up anyway...since I loved the GameCube one immensely. ;)

Tossing my vote against WarioLand 4. I've played Rogue Leader to death (the reason I wanted a GC in the first place), and don't have the cash to buy any more games when I have WarioLand 4 sitting there unloved on my 3DS.

Star Wars !
I wonder if it hold up after 10 years. It was the WOW OMG Gamecube graphics rule game back in 2001.
I really enjoyed the game allot too.

I'm gonna give my vote to custom robo ds. I loved the GCN one. I only got like 1/2 way through the DS one and would enjoy going back. Great franchise IMO. Hope it gets continued on 3DS.

My vote has gone to Warioland 4. The Warioland series has always been pretty unique among platformers, so I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of the RFN crew on 4. I never played this game prior to getting it as an ambassador but I've grown to love the level designs, with each new level offering something unique.

I voted for Rouge Leader because it was such a tossup between it and Killer 7 last time. Loved the hell out of that game.

I voted for Wario Land 4. I've tried to get into the series in the past, with no luck. When I play the first game, it doesn't save because the battery is dead. I also own Wario Land 3, but I'm not a huge fan of it. I own Wario Land 4 since I'm an ambassador though, so I'd love an excuse to play through it.

I voted for Custom Robo.
I really don't want to play Wario Land 4. I usually love those games, but this one just seems tedious and weird...

Custom Robo Arena. Because it's portable, which I always favor when I can, and I don't want to pick a game (WarioLand 4) that not everyone has easy access to. I'm an ambasador, but not every single person in the forums is. Or are they?
Plus, it seems like these Retroactives are always better when the game is a bit Japanese and weird (as opposed to Nintendo-ish and weird)

To be fair, Warioland 4 is as readily accessible as the rest of these games (perhaps with the exception of BG&E). True, Warioland 4 was given out to ambassadors, but it's also possible to play in it's original form. As with any of these other games, you simply need to have the game and the hardware to play it on. The fact that Warioland 4 was given out for free to ambassadors actually makes it more accessible, as it provides an additional means of playing it.

I voted for Star Wars mostly for an excuse to play it again, and to see how that title would look on dolphin. That, and I love space shooters. I just bought Wario Land: Shake it, so I'm kind of filled up no Wario games at the moment.

I chose Rouge Leader. My predictions is that it will get second to Wario Land 4, but I don't really care. Rouge Leader is the only one of those that I own though, so I hope that I am wrong.

It's almost silly that Rogue Leader or (Rouge Leader for the fashionable amoung us) is on the list. Almost. While it most definitely didn't didn't fly under any radars, it is historically important for the GC, a solid game, a true technological marvel and the last Factor 5 game that is unconditionally great.

I vote Warioland. I have it and it's portable, Yay! I've got Custom Robo too but some how it appeals less to me. Come on Robo fans, give me some reasons to change my vote!!!
Rogue Squadron and Rogue Leader never did click with me. Give me Starfox & Ace Combat over those games any day.

I went with Wario Land as well. I remember buying it close to launch on GBA and really enjoyed it back then. And since I am one of those fine men that can call themselves an ambassador, I have the game ready to roll on my 3DS.

Even though I have never played Custom Robo. It has little machines that you can customize by my understanding. Do you need more?

Poor WiiWare...
I picked up BG&E during the crazy winter XBLA sale when it was selling for around 250 MS points. Haven't touched it yet, sadly . A retroactive would be just the push I need. But I have a hunch a certain money-grubber is going to win. Blah.

Wikipedia says Rogue Leader was released in March 2002 for Japan. The original source is GameSpot's database.

Went with Wario Land 4. Been playing it, though I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Mario platformers.
I don't know, that seems a little unfair. Warioland is such a weird and unique offshoot that I don't think they're really comparable. Warioland 4 certainly has platforming elements but that's certainly not the focus of the game. For me Warioland 4 is all about the weird power-ups, art style and booking ass by bursting through concrete blocks with your head in order to get back to the start of the level. It might not be a demanding platformer but it's damn fun. Plus, I really like the boss designs which are just crazy.

Yeah, I was on board enough with the concept to buy it but sadly in the truest Linddy style, not on board enough to play it. Not yet anyway.
When do the results get announced? During the podcast? Just finished a game and I'm holding off on starting anything new. I am ridiculously excited to play the same game as you fine fine people (who I've never met).

@Pandareus (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=11478) - Welcome to retroactive. Where the community asks you to play games you don't enjoy. I feel your pain though. I still can't get over just how time consuming Orgre Battle 64 was.

Awesome timing to have a handheld retroactive. Have a road trip this weekend for a 5 day family vacation, so i'll have plenty of time to play this one. I've only played Warioland 1, so i'm curious to see how far they've gone off that path.

Oh, I am so so so thankful that a portable game won, and not, say , BGAE. I really did not want my "console game du-jour" to be a Retroactive game. That's what Xenoblade is for.

A nice close race for second, but Wario was a given since it's an ambassador game. Custom Robo didn't really have much of a chance, but but it did way better than FAST which had no chance. We would have had BG&E or Rogue Leader if the vote didn't split.

Ah, right. Still, it could be worse. I'd rather play a platformer I wasn't fussed on than an RPG I didn't enjoy. Platformers are reasonably breezy by comparison.
