Battery extension, and not being unwieldy as all-hell: definite plus.

Nyko product, Definitive minus.
I'm not all anti-third party, but Nyko translates to "Stay away".

I like the image, but will wait for actual impressions about product quality before getting excited. It does look pretty slick though.

$10 MORE for a third party accessory? Haha, no thanks.
I wouldn't buy the original circle pad addition until Monster Hunter comes out... so I got awhile.

It has a battery, so the extra $10 is doing something.

Hate Nyko all you want...but the Nyko Perfect Shot is the best thing ever.
EVER.

No where near as awesome as this: http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Crossfire-Integrated-Remote-Pistol-Nintendo/dp/B002ISZB4M
However, I'm less inclined to hate Nyko products that don't really have the potential to mess up the innards of my video game products.

Mmmm this would be something that would interest me greatly if it turns out okay. I won't dare order one till some good reviews are out. It would also need to have an open slot to put the carts in for me to be interested. I dislike that the circle pad pro covers that up.
If it left the cart slot open, and provided a decent design that wasn't too clunky. (Which it does kinda appear to be less bulky), with good performance then they will definitely get a purchase from me.

I feel like Nyko's quality has gone up significantly in the past few years.

I've never had a problem with the Nyko products I've tried. Granted, they usually aren't as good in terms of quality as official 1st party stuff, but in comparison to most third party peripherals they seem to be pretty good.

I will most likely pick this up on day one of release. Nyko's done a pretty good job lately at its products, and I've thoroughly enjoyed its battery packs/charger stand for the Wii. Not ever had a problem with it... not even once.
But yeah, longer battery life for the 3DS? Count me in.

Plus the controllers Nyko is putting out for Android devices (controllers, with the regular one looking like a Classic Controller and the deluxe one looking like a Xbox 360 controller) that look pretty cool.

Might be interesting for people who want to use a battery extension and a CPP at the same time. I might consider buying this if the time to play a game that demands the use of the CPP – atm I'm very happy without one though.

NWR should release a review of the product. I'm pretty interested in it.

When I think of some epic Monster Hunter sessions on Wii, this accessory makes a lot of sense. Improved control and extended battery life all in one swoop? Count me in. (I'm still waiting for reviews so I can have some idea about quality though.)

NM, found a side picture and it does appear to have triggers :) and might even have different colors?

Seeing as circle pad pro exists because of Monster Hunter, I wonder if Nintendo is hatching something for Monster Hunter 4. Both Ninty and Capcom would likely love the chance to sell a pimped out and profitable XL system bundle but I don't see Capcom taking a step back in control functionality.
Regarding Nyko, looking forward to their inevitable Power Grip Pro XL extension...can build some biceps while you game with that thing
