Headset designer Turtle Beach has announced a partnership with Nintendo to develop officially licensed gaming headsets for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The headsets will be compatible with Wii U, 3DS and even the DS family of systems, with voice chat support for Wii U.

No price is given for these headsets, aside from a mention of being competitive. Turtle Beach is known for providing high-quality headsets for game consoles, and have a number of models already available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

I can't wait to gt all geared up and accessorized for the Wii U. Built-in chat functionality sounds keen.
