Crytek, developer of Far Cry and the Crysis series, is not currently developing for Wii U. The news comes from an interview with Golem.de, a German website. The statement, loosely translated, states that there will be games that run on Wii U using CryEngine, but they will be licensed. The interview also notes that Crytek are not developing for PlayStation Vita.
Although Far Cry Vengeance was released for Wii, it was ported by Ubisoft Montreal. Crytek has not released any titles on Nintendo consoles to date.
Reggie needs to kick their ass until they get on board. Crytek must learn to either get N or get out.
Don't you want Reggie fired and replaced?
He did manage to convince Rockstar into bringing a GTA game to the DS and I will give him credit for that, but he needs to do stuff like that more often. Obviously he needs to pay Crytek a visit and do whatever it takes until they Crytek uncle. He can't force anyone. He's trying. As much as he wants Game X or Series Y on Nintendo hardware, he shouldn't and doesn't accept poor deals. If he can reach an agreement which is mutually beneficial, then he'll do it. We all heard about MS throwing around moneyhats, but that's counter productive. You get support, but you pay such a hefty price for it.
