To celebrate the newly patched Mario Kart 7, we're going to play it tonight in our latest NWR Community Night. The fun starts at 9 p.m. Eastern/6 Pacific (1 a.m. UTC for oohhboy and any other overseas readers who want in on it). 

You can exchange friend codes in the Talkback below, or go stock up in the official NWR 3DS Friend Code thread. You can also add the Nintendo World Report Community Code, which is 15-7711-2023-1792 for Grand Prix at 150cc with All Items.

We do these Wi-Fi events every Tuesday night, so please let us know if you have any feedback or other suggestions.

I hope there are community nights for Heroes of Ruin when it finally releases. The game looks so good!

 I always want to participate in these races, but I always forget or I’m out of town. Do actual staff members participate regularly, or is it more of a designated time that NWR patrons primarily partake in?

There was one real winner tonight and it was the Pack™. It took no prisoners and gave no favors. Utterly ruthless.

For me the last 2 GPs didn't really work out as the laws of physics started to breakdown in my game. At no time during then couldn't I even be sure of a person position in front of me. I lived in a world where an equal and opposite reaction didn't exist.

Now for a special message.

NICHOLAS, if you are reading this if you want to play some games, stop starting games. Stop it. Don't bother showing up if you are going to keep doing it. Go away.

For those wondering about other games: Yes, we will totally do other games.

As a matter of fact, we'll do a Mario Tennis Open one in two weeks (it comes out a few days later in everywhere but North America).

When Heroes of Ruin comes out, we will definitely do some Community Nights. Also, if there are any other games that aren't in the rotation (so like, things that aren't Kid Icarus and MK7) that you want to play, bring it up. If we have support, we'll do it.

Finally I was able to remember and join in. I only raced in about 3 GP's but it was fun!

Anyone race WUSHU*MATT? Some of those I did really well, and a few others it was like the whole world was against me holding me back.

Yeah, I remember. I think the host machine moved too far from me and lag was playing all sorts of mayhem on my end. Had Karts bouncing around, fly around side to side, drive without inertia, drive off cliffs but not, hyper speed blue shells.

Even if I wanted to win or place, the game was tripping out so much it was pretty much impossible.
