Title: What do you think of this quote?
Post by: Oblivion on May 03, 2012, 06:23:54 PM
Quote from: Iwata
Nintendo has strong views on how we should run our company. We consider ourselves, above all else, as a gaming company. We believe other companies (in the console marketplace) see themselves primarily as technology companies.

Does this mean the Wii U won't have the multimedia capabilities of the other consoles? What do you guys think of this?

What did you think of my Tendoboy impression?

I think Nintendo is just reaffirming the company's identity. Iwata wants to remind us of that Nintendo isn't a company that makes things for everyone. They make one thing, and they need to focus on catering to that market.

Not bad, actually

I read it as saying that the Wii U will contain no form of technology.

Like Wii

I am going to skip the WiiU since the computer satisfies my high end gaming needs and the 3DS takes care of the Nintendo factor unless the economy improves for the average man. What feature it has or doesn't have isn't going to matter if large chunks of the market is too busy looking for food.

I want to punch you in the neck
