I'm guessing the NDA has been slightly lifted...

Nice to see that it's coming out for all four HD systems.

Seems to be a tame use of the second screen. I recall that Gran Turismo for the PS3 was to have a rear view mirror function with the PSP. A bit anxious to see how the gyroscope option works. The Wii Remote for Mario Kart Wii is hard to use at first, so hopefully the Wii Motion+ or better motion sensing that I hope is in the tablet controller will be easier.

I'm excited to see Slightly Mad Studios attempting to create a better narrative for your racing career by going from karts to Formula 1 and Le mans prototype.

Why do I see motion as primary input control option?  Why is there no mention of a control stick?

Because you don't drive a car with a stick.

It's probably because the document is talking specifically about functions unique to the Wii U version.

It's saying that you can use the controller as the primary input method, as opposed to having the secondary input example below.

So the company that is making "Project Cars" is an independent developer? Seems quite ambitious for an indie game. Whenever I think of the term "indie developer", I automatically think of those people that make lazy Flash-based iOS/Android/Facebook games.

All joking aside, I wonder how they plan to compete with more established racing sims like Need for Speed, Gran Turismo, and Forza Motorsport?

Here's some really good looking new footage for the game.

The second video in particuler looks really nice.  The lighting looks top notch to me.  If you watch the video to completion, you can see the lighting slowly change as the sun begins to set on the track.  The final video is a comparison of the game and an actual race cam.

One thing I do like about their in dash view is that the driver is really animated well and their is just the right amount of shake going on in the car that it adds realism but doesn't seem to get annoying.  If this game has enough licenced cars in it and some good track variety, then I don't see how this isn't a Gran Tourismo killer (we still have to see how it handles first and formost though lol)

Speaking of cars, does anyone know how many cars they are aiming to include in this game?
