Title: Pokémon Black and White 2 Releasing October 2 in North America?

Pokémon Black and White 2 may be coming out on Tuesday October 2, according to a photo of a GameStop release schedule (and recently confirmed via phone call).

Although GameStop dates are known to be fairly close to the genuine date in many cases and Black and White 2 is expected to come out during the fall, the date is still unconfirmed. In addition, Nintendo usually releases Pokémon or other major titles on Sundays.

Pokémon Black and White 2 comes out in Japan June 23.

The image seems to also imply that there are no DS games coming out between June and October. Not sure if the date makes sense or not. I think most Pokemon games get more of a delay between Japan and NA releases, but I'll take an October release. Probably a quicker turn around since it's the same gen. I think that's usually been how it works.

In any event, I want it now.

DS games are down to a trickle mostly, so I wouldn't expect to see many come out between June and October. October 2 is most likely just a placeholder date, not the actual one.

nick, I don't have the link but in another thread I did a comparison for how long ever mainline Pokemon game has taken to get from Japan to North America, I think the shortest was 5 months (I believe that was Emerald), but it looks like this could beat that at barely over 3 months.

Gamestop always puts in listing on games coming out on the 2nd of whatever month, I remember when they had a listing for like 3 or 4 3DS games all coming out on June 2nd of last year! (Zelda, Starfox, Animal Crossing, and Luigi's Mansion2 I believe) I would not take this rumor to be likely, it's just a place holder for Gamestop. The guys up at Gamestop also have to tell you when a game comes out via what their computer says.
