Six months ago, we checked in on what our staffers were playing. Now, what are our top five played games after a year with the 3DS?

The 3DS turned one in North America and Europe last week, so it felt like a good time to check in on our staff's playtime with Nintendo's latest system. Mario dominated a lot of our lists, with Super Mario 3D Land appearing on most lists. Mario Kart 7, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Kid Icarus: Uprising are also getting lots of love. Of course, Ocarina of Time 3D still lingers on most people's lists.

My most played games have been,

1 - Mario Kart - 35:55 hrs
2 - Ocarina of Time - 34:15 hrs
3 - Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition - 30:26 hrs
4 - Chrono Trigger (DS) - 29:03 hrs
5 - Professor Layton and the Lost Future (DS) - 28:57 hrs
6 - Pullblox - 27:38 hrs
7 - Professor Layton and Pandora's Box (DS) - 26:24 hrs
8 - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS) - 23:16 hrs
9 - Professor Layton and the Curious Village (DS) - 22:21 hrs
10 - Super Mario 3D Land - 21:49 hrs

I guess it goes without saying that during the long in months in which no 3DS games were coming out I made the best of it by acquainting myself with the Layton series.

Other notable mentions are Uprising at 12th (21:37 hrs), Ghost Trick at 15th (16:35 hrs) and my least played game being Kirby & the Amazing mirror at 76th (0:06 hrs).

Zach, holy crap.   That must be a typo, right?  30, even 40 hours, I can understand.   But 70+ on Revelations raid mode!

My least played game is NES Open Golf, that I suffered through :04 of. Interesting note is that I have only owned Zen Pinball for about 2 weeks.

178 hours on pokemon black? I havent even played Skyrim that many hours!

My playtime is weak compared to all yours, I've only had my 3DS since 12/9.

Wow! This has really made me realise how much I play my 3DS! OK, first of all, I seperate my play time as 3DS software (with special dispension given to Pokemon Black) and the download software and DS games, so I will give seperate tables. Second of all, a lot of time on Pokemon Black was spent on a DSi, so the actual figure is more like 120 hours.

I enjoyed the game well enough, but 53 hours.  I don't know how you would get that much out of that game.

I really haven't touched my 3DS much since I finished Pushmo/started reading Game of Thrones.

Mine is Skewed since I got a replacement unit because Super Princess Peach was up there and I had much more time on Zelda 2 but here we go.

1 - Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones 81:26 (Still haven't finished it ><)
2 - Kid Icarus: Uprising 31:43 (Not that far since I seem to want to Gold Halo or whatever it is on the Chapters)
3 - Skylanders 22:09 (I haven't put in my Ice Expansion yet)
4 - Super Mario 3D Land 16:39 (Need a few more coins to get through the rest of the Special levels)
5 - Zelda II 9:11 (Maxed out Link before playing the rest of the game)

Btw, Tose, the game's developer, also helped develop RE: Revelations and Mercenaries. Crazy.

Tose is very interesting, even just the games we know they have worked on (they are notorious for working on tons of games without getting credit).

I've heard SPP is simple but not a bad game, especially if you cam find it cheap.

Yes.

SPP has good gameplay with an undeveloped story.  Funnily though Peaches Powers are relatively not needed in the game because Princess Peach has a wonderful base kit.   Here's my views on the game. (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=29356.msg682555#msg682555)

If you can find it for a good price I go for it.
