Title: April Fools!
Post by: FZeroBoyo on April 01, 2012, 01:11:09 PM
Waluigi has taken over Negative World.

Destructoid has turned into a dating website.

IGN posted a trailer for an 80's style Mass Effect cartoon.

A Sony site said that the Vita price would be cut to $120 and current owners would get ten free PSP games.

The Google Maps NES game.

Any other takers?

I came across this.  Take it with a grain of salt.  But it would fall inline with what I expect.

Sorry.  This is in regards to the Wii U's online store.

Take with grain of salt.  But it seems believable.

Take this with a grain of salt.  It is April 1st.  But this seems plausible.

It sounds plausible, but I don't think it would be in their best interest to sell games later in the Wii life cycle for digital download when they could offer older titles like Fire Emblem or even the Metroid Prime Collection, which are no longer available, for a rational price. Even with the Wii, they didn't have that many games availalbe right off the bat. The flaw in this is that it's too good to be true, and it's April 1st, but they did source a Japanese name, though I've never heard of it.

Anatao Damasare means something along the lines of "you are fooled" in Japanese.

I agree with you.  But if it is true, they are covering their bases for launch.  Though, I am a little surpassed they didn't include Metroid Prime, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart Double Dash, or Smash Bros as a launch download.  But we don't know what Rare is working on yet.

Equestria Daily has turned into a site that is accepting Gen1-3 content and it is so funny right now.

Also Bethesda's forums have changed all the topic titles to My Little Pony: previous threads name. Here. It is legit. http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/18-community-discussion/ (http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/18-community-discussion/)

Youtube put up a video for an new innovation they did. http://www.youtube.com/theyoutubecollection (http://www.youtube.com/theyoutubecollection)

Someone got to NinSage and he is posting that Michael Pachter is right about all the things he has said. http://nintemple.blogspot.com/2012/04/pach-is-right.ht (http://nintemple.blogspot.com/2012/04/pach-is-right.ht)

A press release said that Nintendo would put Mario's Tennis and Wario Land from the Virtual Boy on the eShop for $3.99 a piece.

A representative being interviewed dropped Majora's Mask as an upcoming 3DS title. (For me, that's crossing into cruel, sick joke territory.  :@ )

A joke video explaining stereoscopic 3D is on Nintendo Video (replacing the Kid Icarus anime).

Probably an April Fools joke. Even Caterkiller don't buy this.

Sega Staturn and Knights? Maybe if it's the PS2 version I suppose.

Oh wow that rocks. I can't wait to see what is going to happen with that. Nintendo is getting really into the music area. :P:

I am faking seriousness today for the most part in this topic

I would buy it (if it weren't an AFD Joke). Most of those games probably aren't all that big and could easily fit on the small amount of memory Nintendo is likely to include.

I think you've posted that about 6 times now. it's logged under April Fools joke for the moment, but I could see it happening for quite a few of those titles since alot of them probably aren't very big and Nintendo already expressed interest in providing retail games as full downloadable titles. Adding GC & Wii titles (& other systems too) to the list of VC titles would only make sense if that were the case.

So... I just found something courtesy of the GameFAQs boards for Kid Icarus: Uprising.

1. Go to Treasure Hunt.
2. Select a Palutena tile that doesn't have an award.
3. Look very closely at the top screen.
4. Could that be a transparent...

Coincidence? Perhaps.

It's just a weird design. You can see it better defined in the Revolting Vegetable anime.

I don't know if you guys heard or not, but Capcom and Level5 won't be localizing Professor Layton VS. Ace Attorney. Here's a video of them explaining why: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0)

i know its late but

Too bad i didn't find out about it until later, i would have been glued to the TV all night.

For those that still dont get it Toonami was an anime block on cartoon network, eventually they started doing toonami midnight runs which eventually became Adult Swim before Toonami jumped the shark and was canned.

on April 1st Adult swim was essentially Toonami midnight run like the good 'ol days.
the very next day:

Yeah I heard about that when it was happening but I didn't have Cartoon Network.

http://www.toonamiaftermath.com/ streams things from Toonami from all parts of its history but you may have to request some things to be aired.
