Title: 'Pokémon Tretta' Trademarked by Nintendo
Post by: Webmalfunction on March 22, 2012, 11:33:42 PM

...and no one has any idea what it means.

The name "Pokémon Tretta" has been trademarked by Nintendo, GameFreak, and Creatures.

The trademark itself (number T2012-14319) has not been given meaning yet, though a logo was included with the trademark. In Japan, the word "tretta" usually refers to something bookshelf or bicycle related, but with an English logo being given alongside a Japanese one, whatever the trademark refers to will likely come to the west in some form.

Maybe like a new Pokemon Typing game? Still surprised Nintendo never brought that over here.

Maybe it's like how some words in English can have different, unrelated meanings?

The last time Pokemon was attached to a strange word it ended up being a puzzle title. (It also began with a T and with my poor spelling I'm not going to even attempt to...)

Trozei. It got good reviews, though I never played it.

When I read that title I immediately thought Fishing for some reason.
