I guess the rumors that the Capcom devs love that game are true. It's great fun and very overlooked but how the hell did they get accounting to sign off on that reprint?

They should have NPC'd it instead.

With a New Play Control label, it might have got some attention from Nintendo's massive underserved audience right now.

I've never played the game and don't know anything about it, so I do't know if NPC would even fit the title or not.

I'm not sure, I could see IR aiming and of course pointer controls for the team setup screen but the game's strongly based around homing projectiles that you shake off by doing evasive maneuvers and the few weapons that don't home would probably be overpowered with manual aiming.

When was the last Gotcha Force?

I'm wondering if this is happening for rand awareness for a Wii U or 3DS release of a new one.

2003, as the article says. There has never been another Gotcha Force game.

As interesting as Gotcha(Mass x Acceleration) sounds, the reprint being JP-only kinda kills it.

New Play Control is a must because otherwise the newer model of the Wii won't support it.
