Title: Pokémon Black and White Version 2 Formally Announced for Western Territories

The DS games have also been given a tentative release period.

Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 have been formally announced for release in North America and Europe.

The announcements were made in two press releases issued by Nintendo announcing the localization, with both territories being given a release date of fall 2012 (which places the release date in either September, October, or November).

Alongside release dates, Nintendo also formally revealed the official websites of the two games (though both websites have existed since the Sunday reveal on Pokémon Smash, a Japanese television program).

Pokémon Black and White Version 2 are sequels to 2011's Pokémon Black and White for Nintendo DS, featuring alternate forms of Kyurem, officially named White Kyurem and Black Kyurem, as mascots.

Hope this will tide me over til 2015 when a 3DS adventure's out.

BTW, before this news came out over the weekend, I thought today was going to be the last day I was buying DS titles. Two more left.

I'm leaning toward a September release. They'd want to get it out of the way so the WiiU has maximum breathing room.

I can't wait for these games!! Wouldn't it be cool if the Black/White 1 Trainers was the champion in these games?

Still not feeling this. I'm all for Pokemon games, but this doesn't even sounds like a sequel. Ver. 2? Sounds like a tweak of the firs title at full price. NO thanks Nintendo.

Good thing I have more games than I know what to do with to play right now.

We talked about that in another talkback thread. All Pokemon games in the US have the word "Version" in the name. From Pokemon Red Version to Pokemon Emerald Version to Pokemon HeartGold Version. Even Gen V had Black Version and White Version. Also, that's almost a textbook definition of judging a book by its cover.
