Title: Atlus Issues Radiant Historia Reprint
Post by: Webmalfunction on February 12, 2012, 10:49:30 AM

New copies of the highly regarded DS game are shipping next month.

Atlus will be printing more copies of Radiant Historia, their well-recieved RPG from last year.

The announcement was made on Atlus' official page for the game, where it was also revealed that reprints will be available in late March. However, the bonus CD included in launch copies will not be included.

The news follows a tweet made by Atlus earlier this month asking if fans would be interested in a potential reprint.

I see someone posted the news that I posted in the forums. Good idea! So glad I am getting the chance to buy this game without paying a fortune!

That sucks about the CD not being included. Still better than paying $100 to buy a used copy, though.

I guess that twitter reprint promotion worked then. Glad I was apart of that.

Just yesterday I offered a guy on ebay $45 for a used copy. Bet he is ticked he turned it down now.

Well, keep in mind it isn't actually coming out until April, so I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who would pay a bit extra just to be able to get the game a couple months sooner. But yeah, $45 was a reasonable offer.

The reprint doesn't have the soundtrack, so a copy from the original run will still be worth more if it includes the soundtrack.

That's an excellent point. But when you are buying something used its always important to carefully read the seller's description to make sure that and everything else is included.

BTW, is there any way to get the soundtrack CD separately?

I use that site all the time for importing video game soundtracks.  They're fast, relatively inexpensive (as far as importing goes), reliable, and have a fairly extensive back catalog of soundtrack CDs (including many that tend to go out of print).  The only real downside is that shipping options are rather limited.

I'm stoked about this. I didn't want to pay an ungodly amount of money for the English version and didn't really want to play through the game in Japanese (I've seen copies around here). I've heard way too many good things about this game over the past year to ignore this.

Thanks, but that CD is expensive at $38. That's more than what it costs for the game itself. In fact its probably cheaper to spend extra and buy a used copy now even at inflated prices and get the CD that way. I was hoping it would be along the lines of $10 or something. $40 is way too much.

Do we know for certain that the Atlus USA version included with the game was the full soundtrack?  If their history with the Persona games is any indication, they usually only include a partial soundtrack with half the tracks or less, so you probably want to make sure of that before committing one way or another.
