Title: Why Do I Get Smited Everytime TJ Spyke Logs On.....?

Is it a coincidence?
It's been happening for a very long time and I don't really care, but I even called him on it and he responded to the post but completely skipped over the smiting comment (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=32855.msg718455#msg718455) as if I didn't make it.
Why would he continually and blindly smite me for such an extended period of time? I almost feel like applauding him for the dedication to his cause, but now I'm just kind of curious to the motivation behind it.

For the record, I usually have the NWR forums open in a tab for like 7 hours a day whether I am browsing the site or not. I have smited you sometimes, I have applauded you sometimes. I wonder why I get smited sometimes (sometimes I post comments that I can see why someone would disagree with my opinion, and they will smite me for it even though it's just my opinion), but I don't care since the who system is just for fun.

That's good to know. I didn't want to be accusing you of anything if you weren't actually guilty of. It was just very weird that everytime you post (outside of the same hour), I have one more -1 and there is someone out there that counteracts almost every one of the smites with a +1
I have no idea who it is, but I knew it was always more than just a coincidence that, everytime I noticed that I just got smited, your name was at the front of the user list on the bottom of the forum index.

I don't recall doing it more than once or twice a week max. I just have the forum open from like 5PM-2AM, whether I a at my computer or not (so I am listed as logged in)

your name will show everytime you refresh and will stay present for about 15 minutes or so afterwards.
It might not only be you, but it sure is weird that everytime I see it happen, you have just refreshed, or posted or been active in some way or another.
i guess it could all just be an elaborate setup, or it really is just a coincidence after all.

He's done that to me too. I don't know why he does it... I think he has some issues or something.
ETA: Maybe he is envious that you have more applauds than smites so maybe his goal is to keep smiting you until your smites exceed your applauds. That's a sad and pathetic goal, but that's the only explanation I can think of for why he would keep doing it.

I just don't get it... I don't pay enough attention to my smites/applauds to even notice the exact point I get one - let alone pay close enough attention to the who's online list to attempt to determine who would have smote/applauded me. Who has that much time?

I don't care about the score, but I always glance at "whos online" to see what threads people are reading and which ones might be getting a new post.
I just happen to glance at the points once in a while (they are right on the screen afterall) and it will sometimes be one thing when I went into one thread, and then it was something different when I went into another, so when I get back to the forum index I'll glance to see who is online and it became very noticeable that the same name was right there everytime I noticed for the last few months.
I wasn't gonna say anything since it doesn't matter, but then I just got curious why he was so devoted to smiting every time he logged on.

I don't get that many, so I always notice when I get one or the other. Then I usually dance or sob openly.
