I don't know what was said since I didn't watch the roast, but the very nature of the format has people insulting other people there in good nature.
Never heard any of O'Neal's jokes, but sorry to hear someone so young pass away.

@ the Sheen Roast, they were joking about his diabetes and how he was gonna die soon.
Patrice got up on the mic and said he threw away his prepared jokes because he was astonished at how insensitive everyone was to his illness and how he could die soon and he didn't find that funny.
about a month after the roast he had a stroke. 1 month after that he is now dead.

yeah, i agree that the point of a roast is to be a dick, burn the **** out of people, and cross some lines all for humor, but what they said to him was so fucked I ended up being offended. Not by what they said, but their lack of effort. The thing that was worse about it was that none of the roasters really knew each other, so they had no real stuff to roast him on, they just targeted his race and weight. If they actually had some good stuff on him it would have been funny, but they were just going for what was easy. Theres a difference between ribbing people and being shitheads.

You know.. When I worked at the Nintendo store in NYC, Caroline's comedy club was always en route to work and I'd always see his picture on the wall outside, with so many dates he'd be performing and always told myself "oh man I should go" because I'd seen his stand-up on tv before and fucking loved his style. Never did though, now I never will. ****.

That whole special is amaaazing. The first of his stand-ups I saw he had this joke (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvhU1ifqHMo), and from that point forward I was a fan.
